2k10 files in 2k11

Talk about NBA 2K11 here.

2k10 files in 2k11

Postby HoopJunkie on Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:02 am

I have already seen posts about it but I just want to kno also if we can use files from 2k10 in 2k11. I plan on tryin to find out after I get back home from class and practice. I noticed that png files were still bein used but they are numbered different. I plan to try and use vlads reditor to see if the roster can be edited and overviewed.

Roster can't be edited, as local structures were surely modified.

New REDitor is coming in about a month...

Looking forward to it, maybe I'll toss my hat in the ring of public roster tweakers (or just keep to myself, to avoid the pressures of committing to a project).

Will this just be a (relatively) barebones version like the early 2k10 REDitor, or do you think that the basis of your previous work will be enough to put out a full editor?

If the latter, do you plan to charge money for the full version, or do you feel you could get by on donations alone?

(I know you can't really answer these questions until you get your game and take a good look at it, but I can't help but ask.)

He was already charging money for the full version of the 2K10 editor.
What makes you think that he'll change his mind now by giving for free the full version of the 2K11 editor and rely on donations?

3d tool opens the textures in the 2k11 iff files just fine but it wont export models for me :(

also there are no "hidden" courts like last year. what is seen in the game is what we get.

tried importing my street court from 2k10 in and it crashed, so probable no go there either.
Opinions are my own.

i think the most we can open and export is (and import) are Bitmaps (or pngs or dds)

So we would be able to use the cyberfaces from 2k10 then? So we would just need to figure out what player is which png??

Could I use the shoe .iff files from 2K11 for 2K10? If so, could someone upload those or something?
I don't know if this is against the rules or something...but yeah.

Wait so if you transfer files from 2K10 to 11, will the graphics be 2K10 style or 11?

I can state, that there are 1466 players on the roster. :)

Generally it has the same structure, so these are good news.

About the editor: huge parts of it will be remade (some are already remade) to bring new cool and convinient features. i'm planning to charge, though, with a limited free version, of course. I'll create a topic and will post some info there a bit later; for owners of REDitor license the full version of REDitor II with the support of NBA 2K11 will cost less, than $20.

I mean ripping the player save, putting it on your computer, changing the ratings and then importing back on the 360.

You should include the changing of gear colors in free version so that we could also edit the gears

It's possible to use NBA 2k10's shoes with nba 2k11...Just copy and paste...Sorry if it's been posted... (Y)

So it's possible to fix all of Jordans off color shoes with nba 2k10 files...

We'll see, what will be included, when REDitor II is done and i'm got down to decoding 2K11 files.
Hope, i'll have some time to work on the tool during this weekend.

I'm curious about this as well. What do we need to do to use 2k10 CFs in 11? Every time I try it the game crashes to desktop when I click on the player who's 2k10 file I used (I'm doing an all time franchise best league and want a younger AI, T-Mac, etc.)

You need to apply the faces to the existing files in 2k11. The headshape format is different this year, and I believe that's the main issue. Use the Java program in this mod tool.
