Editing players.dbf

Postby EddyMVP on Fri Dec 06, 2002 4:52 am

I saw this thread somewhere and couldn't find it again. can anyone explain me about the rating on the players.dbf

A players appear to have a 79 FG rating on the players.dbf and when you run the game he has another rating. What's the formula to get the game's rating?

The ratings should be the same in the game and in the database. Just make sure you reload your roster while in the game, if you make a change :D

No, the games ratings are from 50-99 and the databases are from 0-99 so a 75 in-game rating is a 50 in the database.

You've just gotta work a formula if you want to know how to create ratings according to the game in the database.

I can't really remember the formula but I think it's something like this to get the in-game formula and reverse for database formula.

Try it and see.

(Database Rating) * 0.5 + (49 or 50).....I can't really remember.

(Database Number / 2) + 50

If the rating in the database is 83
83/2 = 41 (don't round up)
41 + 50 = 91
So the game rating will be 91

This by no means offical but what I have found by scanning the DBF's

(Database Number / 2) + 49 is actually correct... as the ratings only go up to 99

Wouldn't it be 50 since that is the minimum rating? If you enter in 0 it will be 50 which makes sense.
