Talk about NBA 2K9 here, as well as all previous games in the NBA 2K series.

Chuck Haye's free throw...
is off. The mo-cap for that was crappy, it actually makes the free throw look normal. Chuck leans forward a bit and becomes off balance when he does it... but it's going to be fun trying to make a free throw using him in 2k9.

Someone made a video of this it was on the 2k forums. He needs to lean a lil bit more to make it real, but it's good enough

2k9 made Chuck a happy man.

He'll probably choke himself after he saw this.

Is this from 2k9 or from a real NBA game????!!!!!! I tried to find the telltale signs that it's a video game like sliding feet or fake boxouts. If this is the video game, that's insane. Going from EA to 2k9 is like going out of the cave and seeing the sunlight for the first time.

We are not yet fully informed as to just how moddable the game will be, but if its anything like EA’s efforts on PC you can expect a huge modding community to crop up around the game upon release. With any luck everything form jersey textures to facial animations & arenas will be moddable.

I looked at the files on the disc of nba 2k8 for the 360, and it's basically several big files that are all one big archive/container. As long as texmod functions with the game we will be able to extract and replace textures in-game. Someone will need to crack this container format, write a program for export and import, then crack the image format, write a program for export and import, etc, etc.

Didn't the guys at Football Freaks manage to extend on the earlier work with Texmod with the release of that FF09 mod? I haven't gotten it to work on Madden 08 (some weird occurrence) but it appears to have allowed some new changes to be made...

Platform disc viewed on PC =/= DVD PC Games
MVP Baseball 2005 is a good game to compare it too or maybe other sports games that are moddable on the PC, Platform game discs don't really have a whole lot of files on 1 disc because if there were it would be alot of long loading times, such and such.
you cannot compare the two because there too different.

When does this release for PC. I bought a PS2 and NBA Live 09, and found it unplayable because of a sub/fatigue bug that was in the 08 version.
Wed Oct 08, 2008 11:25 am
this release for pc october 20th or 21st

Missed the logo. You're right about Yao. He sort of teleports behinds the guy boxing him out. No real NBA player would run to get behind the guy. In real life, Yao would've stepped forward INTO the lane. Still, this is awesome.

Nah, 500GB hard drives are now $50 bucks. Video game developers shouldn't be held back just cause some of us have older hardware.

hey if it's that huge, the disc must install a whole lot of files into the computer.
if it's a non- moddable game I can't see 3 or 4 encrypted files be that big.
