Rick barry only shoots like that when he is on freethrow's but on a normal style of shooting it is different..

He is one of the best free throw there is in the NBA history (considering his odd looking free throw style)

First thing first, I did not took your comments negatively. Secondly, I'm not praising myself. Just so you know. For me, I think my Luther Head is great enough compared to the other Head here in NLSC. If you ask me, none of them look like Head. Even A_NukE's doesn't look one bit like Head.(no offense to other patchers, as I said before, all your bheds are great but the problem is the headshape) Hell, I dont want to praise myself but seriously I think it's the best Head out here. I dont spot any flaw in this CF. By that I mean I dont see anything which needs improvement. If you're gonna say it's the blending, save it because Head always have rosy cheeks. As you know, I'm a very big rockets fan and I know all of the players on their rosters very well.

But seriously speaking man, I'm a man of my word. 4 people requested an improvement on Kobe's sigshot. How could I say no to that? For me, that's a must. I'll also make a better sigshot for Grant Hill because he's your favourite. As for Kobe's goto moves.. um.. how exactly do you want me to improve it? I think it's pretty damn realistic already but if you think otherwise then you gotta tell me what's off about it. However, I wont be able to work on the requests right away because of all these rookies sigshot. I hope you understand and can accept the delay. As soon as the rookies are done, I'll start working on the request list. If I can keep going at this pace, it wont take long.

for kobe gotomove i want a good fadeaway shot more like of the one in the superstar trigger in 07 (the best looking fadeway... i don't have any videos ) there are two gotomoves you know one is with forward button and one is with backward button... (1) is a fantastic fadeway and (2) while behid his back make a great turn around fadeway shot... and pls give him a gotomove that has a high percentage of getting in.. his current gotomove only is high percentage ONLY from around 12-15ft from the basket

c-cage, thanks a bunch. That video is very detailed, a very good footage to use as a reference. Real Classic. His freethrow routine is really weird! It's amazing how good his freethrow shooting is considering the way he shoots it. So how exactly do you want his sigshots to be? Do you want his sigshots to be like how he shoots his freethrow or how he normally shoots? If you want it like how he shoots his freethrow, then I must say that it is almost impossible. The position of the ball alone is not possible in the game.

Um.. the 07 superstar fadeaway? You mean the scorer superstar fadeaway back in 07? If we have access to that animation in 08 too then we would be set. That being said, those animation have to exists in 08 too of course. If we dont however, I have to find an alternative. I'll check if we have access to those animation in 08 and whether it exists in 08 as well or not. You see, a lot of animations from 07 doesn't exists in 08 and that fadeaway might be one of them..

Oh, by the way, about giving Kobe a higher percentage goto move, I dont think it's possible. They'll have similar percentage but I'll see what I can come up with. If you get challenge while performing the goto move then the shot is either adjusted or your chances of making the shot are lower. I'll discuss that issue with clydeli when I see him online.

I only made a video preview for Thompson because Lopez uses Brad Miller's sigshot and Bayless uses Chris Paul's sigshot. I spent a lot of time investigating their sigshots and I've found out that Miller's and Paul's sigshot fits perfectly for Lopez and Bayless. It's kinda pointless for me to make them a brand new sigshots if there are existing sigshots which fits them already.

Most patchers' threads here in the NLSC; it's like me visiting a museum, a zoo, or a dorm full of hot girls (which I have yet to do, lol). I can't help but go "ooh" and "aah" at everything.

That's a pretty damn long post right there man, I really appreaciate you typing all that, shows how much you pay attention to my work. Thanks! Not a lot of people do that. Now I'm gonna type even longer to sort out your curiousity.

First thing first, I gotta say that having a fan like you is the biggest thing a patcher can ask for. I thank you for everything, all the kind words, all the supports, I am more than grateful for it.

Now please allow me to be your guide for today's Modifly thread toor. Freethrow ritual can be assign to a created players, with the exception of creating a new one from scratch. This means that you can only take existing freethrow ritual and give it to other players. For instance, you can take Rip Hamilton's weird freethrow ritual and give it to Tracy McGrady. You cant however, give Tracy McGrady a custom freethrow ritual. As far as I'm concern, nobody managed to create a new freethrow ritual like we can for sigshots yet. If you want to give a player somebody elses freethrow ritual, you can do that via DBF editing. You open up players.dbf, look for the players with the freethrow ritual that you want, copy his value and give it to the player that you desire. I hope I made myself clear enough.

Secondly, if you want me to create a lists of who gets what type of sigshots and the number that they're assigned, I can. However, I dont think a description of what it looks like is necessary since I've already create a video preview of all the sigshots that I've made. I think that should be able to give you a clear enough idea of what the sigshots looks like. If you've seen one before, (the lists) I'm taking a wild stab that you've seen it in WebberF1's thread. He made a lists of all the players with sigshots once and also the number that they're assigned. To be honest, I dont see any need of me doing the same thing (make a lists of all the players with sigshots and who gets what number) because all of my sigshots will be included in Albys's Realistic Roster anyway. It's already merged in which will make it very simple to use. If you want to know which players have what numbers assigned for their sigshots, you can find out by opening the players.dbf. Hoewver, if you really want me to make a lists, it wont take me long and I can do it for you. So far, I haven't made any GTMs yet, but I already have a lot of requests asking for improvement in the GTMs and Sigshots. So that pretty much confirms it. I will be making GTMs as well at one point. Once I get to that point (the requests list) I will certainly make a lists of all the things you said once it's finished. I think it's a good idea to have a descriptions for the GTMs, but I dont think it's that necessary to write a description for the sigshots. A video preview explains everything. Thanks for reminding though. Guys like you made my work a lot easier.

Sorry man but I'll have to answer your post with another long one of my own.

First thing first, I'm sorry that I have to disappoint you about the freethrow ritual. Yes, the game does have it's limit. There are certain things that we can do and there are certain things which we cant.

Er.. I'm not sure what you mean by "GTMs are also the Freestyle moves, right?" but I know for a fact that freestyle moves and GTMs are two different things. They dont have anything in common but we can take the animation from the freestye moves and assign it as a GTMs. It's kinda complicated to understand, let's just say that you can use the animation from the freestyle moves and make it into a GTMs. But yeah, they are two different things.

For sigshots, we dont have to determine the area/movement the player has to be doing to be able to activate the move/shot. We just give them the sigshot animation and the game will use that animation when the player is shooting. Sigshots can be use everywhere. It's just like normal shooting but the animation of the shot is what we changed. For GTMs however, we have to determine the area/movement the player has to be doing to be able to activate the GTMs. We must state which area the player must be in to be able to activate that spectacular GTMs. We also have to state what movement they has to be doing to be able to pull of the GTMs. For instance, you have to backdown on the defender before you can perform T-MAC's GTMs. That being said, I think it's possible to activate the GTMs while-running-the-baseline. We just have to assign the correct numbers which represent that area in correctly. That wont be a simple thing to do though.

What you want is impossible, the from-the-baseline reversed reverse layup thing is just insane. It will take months before we can create a combination of animation which does that. The Kobe reverse baseline dunk are very hard to do as well. You will understand why once you read the next paragraph.

Lastly, we do not make new animations. Always remember that. What we do is take the existing animations in the game and mix it up to get a new combination. But dont think that it's an easy thing to do! It's a lot more complicated than it sounds. We get new animations by mixing up the existing one. Some animations are from older versions of Live (06,07) because we still have access to those animations in 08 and they still exists. We get a brand new combination by investigating which animations fits the best and then we mix it up. This process takes up a lot of time and brain because we have to seek for the most similar animation. The reason why it's impossible to create from-the-baseline reversed reverse layup is because there are no animations in the game that we can mix and get that results. Animations that look similar to that doesn't exists. Same thing goes for Kobe's reverse baseline dunk. There are no animations which is similar to it. There are about 2 reverse baseline dunks in the game and none of them are similar. Editing dunks are different to sigshots and GTMs.
