Other NBA Live patches compatability

Does anyone know whether any of the NBA LIVE 08 patches work with LIVE 06? Can someone make a list of which patches do work. So far I've only tried the 08 Cyberfaces and they work...

Cool so the list of 08 patches that work for Live 06 are:

1) Cyberfaces
2) Courts
3) Potraits
4) Lighting
5) Shoes
6) Tattoos

I just installed a Raptors Court patch from the LIVE 08 section and when i was about to load the game, it crashed. So i don't think Courts for 08 works for 06

08 courts works well in 06, but i didnt include the files with "std" cause the dornas will not show in the court.

No, `courts from 08 do not work that ''WELL' on NBA LIVE 06


I tried Albys court into my 06 and it crashed especially the hawks court

i am using Lagoa's 08 court and they are all fine in my 06 game

....idiots....I am currently using all of 08's stadiums, courts, 3d crowd, everything that has to do with the stadium/court in my game is from NBA Live 08. I started with the default courts and stuff and am slowly just making my own courts for them, so FOR SURE, anything from 08 & 07 will work in 06. Hell, some stuff from 2005 even works.


The issues you guys are getting are from the patchers. Whether its the missing pink textures which fix themselves in 07/08 or the crashing (do to incompatible files, like using houston's ebo and miami's fsh file) the stuff that is made correctly works. That is all I can say. You can not believe me if you don't want to, I dont care, I wont be responding to this thread again.

Anywayz i downloaded Lagoa's 08 court patch for Denver and it works, but the problem is that there are alot of pink squares/rectangles/objects around the arena, is there any way to eliminate this?

That's impossible because like i said i have 3000+ files installed from Live 08 and i don't know which file is from which patch and i'm also using mixed files from different cyberface patches and court patchers.

I'm afraid you have to do it yourself. But you know what you get more experienced and that makes Nba Live more fun.

I think there is no way to eliminate those pink objects because Live 06's exe is not that powerful if you compare it from the exe(s) from Live 07 and 08(Im not sure)...............or I think that's an issue in your video card

In 06 and earlier, it is just a pink texture. The solution is simple. Use the correct ebo and fsh file combinations. If you are using a court patch created for Live 07, you are going to want to make sure that you are using the "default" 07 stadia viv. So basically, unless the patcher provides you with a complete viv, or 21 files per court patch, you are going to want to place the specific version's viv in the stadia folder.

I did, then i did what I said in my post, so no, there are no more pink objects in my Live 06. Dorna's work as well.


All is lost though....I am going to reinstall the game so I can start patching from fresh.

Hey Jao, as you were saying that we need the "default stadia viv" file, like do you mean if we use a 08 court patch, we will also need the 08 stadia viv file? so in other words we would have to re-install live 08 if we don't have it on our cpu and copy and replace the 06 stadia viv file with the 08 file in order for the 08 court patch to work?

for it to work properly with no pink, it'd be smart to take the 08 stadia viv files


also, if you do that, youll need to update to the 08 3dcrowd, which is located in
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08\sgsm\crowd3d
then crowd3d.viv, take the ebos in there and put them in the 06 sgsm

I doubt it since 07 & 08 use pictures for the team name/logo whereas 06 uses the teams abbreviation (text only)
