I think the Kings got it.

Rochester & Cincinatti Royals, Kansas City Kings, and Sacramento Kings.

I still refer to the Kings as Sacramento City Kings in my mind.
IIRC they were called that way when they were still new in Sac-town.

I don't think so, at least not officially. In between their years as the Cincinnati Royals and Kansas City Kings, they were the Kansas City-Omaha Kings but their lineage doesn't include a Sacramento City Kings moniker.

it references in American history when they broke away from the British 1776 was a significant year. it's like the San Francisco 49ers because of the 1849 gold rush.

Link.

If the ball went in without anyone touching it the same way, how many points would be rewarded?

Two legs are behind the three-point line. The bounce was in the key area..

My guess is 3, since all they care is where your feet are positioned.

My question - if you shoot the ball from below the hoop, the ball goes through the hoop, and goes straight back down, does the basket count?

I doubt it. Or else really tall players would be doing it all the time if, say, they are double teamed in the paint or trying not to get blocked.... I don't know, never seen it happened yet again I don't even know if it is a rule or not.

Another one: Lookin now that the Bobcats has Jason Richardson, Gerald Wallace and Felton in the perimeter, and Carroll and Boykins as reserves...

What will happen with Adam Morrison this upcoming season?

Justly so. Adam Morrison is fucking terrible. I would rather have Antoine Walker on my team.

I can see Adam Morrison thrown in as filler in a draft day trade. He's the next Luke Jackson.

Two questions. I often notice that when any team plays on the road, their fans usually go watch the games inside their home stadium. Is this allowed on any road games their team plays? Do you have to pay to go in?

of course its allowed, you cant legally discriminate against someone just cause they live somewhere else. and if you can pay for the ticket you are allowed in.

I've always felt that while Bobcats is a fairly conventional sort of name for a sports team, it's felt a bit out of place in the NBA. I can't really why explain why, it's certainly no stranger than taking a team name from clothing or a state's nickname.

Maybe so, but his moustache speaks to him. A bit worrying, come to think of it.

Maybe it's because you've only had 4 years or so to get used to it.

Quite possible, it doesn't seem quite as strange now, nor does their logo which also struck me as being more suited to a football team than an NBA team. I can't really explain why I felt that way either.

That's not what I meant, let me clarify: Let's take the Lakers for example. Lakers go play against Celtics at Boston. Laker fans go to Staples Center to watch the game, packing the stadium just to watch it on the big screen t.v. I've seen this happen on regular season games with other teams.

Eww. :? And I thought that thing was just there to make a naturally fugly face look even worse...

Not a pure NBA question but what I'm wondering is that if that moustache one day finally decided to tell Morrison to shave it off, would that be considered a suicide?
