cj_miranda23, huh?

and to the other animation questions we are having issues importing the animations from other games into 06. while it works for 04 and 05 with no issue I cant figure out why it isnt working for 06. so at least at first there wont be too many new animations
Opinions are my own.

i think what cj_miranda23 is trying to point out are the hands from other live versions. cause if you'll observe 06 player hands, the fingers are too separated from each other which kinda make them funny.. imo.

another thing, if ever Live 09 from PS3 or other platforms comes out and use different commentaries. can we import them to PC and update Live 06? cause i've been hearing Steve Kerr for quite some time now and we need something new.. lol..

and i hope destiny values for some worthy players will also be added, for dynasty purposes.

well 06 has the only tool available for editing commentaries so that shouldnt be impossible. But further down the line (like end of summer before the 09 releases) I would like to see NCAA, Euro, National, NBDL, and other teams included in the mix and have the massive customization be our "selling point" for this mod.

I think that player tendencies would be a part of the game that would merit some attention. Also, the run/gun style that the CPU plays should only be limited to those teams that use that style and also be dependent on personnel.

I agree that the 08-09 rookies should be available. But I think the main thing would probably be gameplay and rosters.

In regards to the FSS, I like them, but would suggest that for guys like Rip Hamilton, Chauncy Billups, and Ray Allen (good but not great players) that they should only be Star level FSS at best.

I think that more Star level FSS would balance the game out...

(... as long as you don't have someone like Tyronn Lue trying to crossover like AI...)

NBA Live 06 doesn't include Star level FSS. Next year's rookies will be added and things like DESTINY ratings will be updated, those things are all aspects of roster updates.

Thanks for the clarification, Andrew. If you guys don't like the FSS then you could take it out altogether for the '06 project. I personally like it, although I agree it does give the Superstars (Kobe, LeBron, Shaq, Nash) a definite advantage if not out and out invincibility.

Oh and one question: will the entire project, when finished, be available as one single download?

:)

I'd prefer not to remove FSS completely as I think we can make good use of it but we could always include a version with all FSS abilities turned off. That's another advantage of NBA Live 06, FSS movesets can be disabled completely for every player if you don't want it to be a part of the game.

NBA Live PC will be available as one big download but given the size we might have to also look at offering it in parts to make it easier for users on slower connections.

Hi Andrew, is it possible to modify the timeout so that it can be called during the free throw?

can't you take the FSS from 07 end put in 06 so that there would be 2 level FSS ,star and superstar?

sorry JAo fro confusing you man, this is actually what I meant

to add to what Z_dize told, the hands looks so big ad unrealistic.

I'm kinda poited out this topic bec I did remember someone made a fix on the "thick calves of players having a THICK BODY" (I think its from glen) so I thought someone can make a new model for the hands

ok, hopefully this will clear things up

2003 and before, we can not do any animation mods.

2004 & 2005, we can interchange those game's animations or take animations from 06 or the MM series from 04-08 and have it work directly after a quick aiact mod.

Now for 06 it is a pain in the arse. Let's say I put the 05 dunks into 06 and I create an aiact that will reference and use those dunks. The ONLY dunks that will work are the dunks that are also in 06. So that means that if there is a dunk in both 05 and 06, it will work in 06 even though Im using the 05 dunk.act. However all the dunks that are in 05 that aren't in 06 will make the game crash if forced to use them.

Hopefully that clears the animation situation up. imo an animation update should be the highest on the list, and if it becomes possible you best believe that will be the first thing to get done, but right now, it isnt.

Oh men but anyways ill just gonna help you in making the gameplay much better cuz i think any assignment.act from 05 to 08 will work with 06..

I am now doing some research to improve the loco.act and the zone.act so that nbalive 2006 will be more challenging.

I like some of the passing animations in 08, such as the no-look. Is there a way for these to work in the new 06, or does it have the same problem as the dunks?

I would like to see the Freestile contorl from 07(with gamepad) ,buts its probobli imposible..
I would like to see Street teams with street players and street curts. Updated All-Star Weekend and new sounds.
Is it posible to make the jerseys move? Like we can see on xbox 360 and PS3 version.

Possible, but the FSS change thing would cause many issues unless we can change the mappings from the pass/shoot etc buttons to something else.

Street Mod will be returning, I can guarantee that.

The only PC NBA Live to have moving jerseys is 2005. There is no way to change that and yes, we have tried extensively to get them to work.

And that concludes that only nbalive 2005 is the perfect ported nbalive game from ps2 :|

no, the PS2 versions of Live have been consistent with the PC version except that 08 had true widescreen and not this stretched shit.

The March Madness Ps2 game continues to use the moving shorts from Live 2005 though and imho has a better potential to be a better basketball PC game than Live
