Total Conversion Mod?

I've recently stumbled onto a site for EA's MVP 05 (baseball) that has complete season mods. Such as, you can download the 1994 Total Conversion Mod and relive the strike-shortened season of 1994. There's also some throwback years like 1978, 1956, etc.
I've had a lot of fun playing it, but I'm a bigger basketball fan than baseball and it got me wishing that there were some Total Conversion Mods for NBA Live. I realize there have been some great patches with retro teams, and they rock. (I'm still waiting for the one for Live 08 to be done). But instead of just retro teams, how cool would it be to have an entire retro season? Some of my favorite seasons have been 1994, 1991, 1988, 1986.....any of those back in the heyday of the NBA.
So, my questions is......is this even possible in NBA Live? And more importantly, would anyone be willing to do this? I could only wish I had the talent to pull this stuff off. It's all I can do to get patches to work. But if someone wanted this challenge, I think it would be an awesome patch!

It's possible to a certain extent. We can certainly do the rosters and art (real faces, accurate jerseys and courts, etc) but there are certain limitations when it comes to Dynasty Mode, due to the addition of the Bobcats in 2004/2005 and the change to six divisions from four. It's certainly feasible to make a very good retro mod but it wouldn't be a perfect representation of any season prior to 2004/2005.

There is a historic teams mod for NBA Live 04 and a converted one for Live 2005. They contain many seasons of retro rosters. It is exactly what you are looking for.

Dude, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing that. I have Live 04, 06, and 08, so I might try that one for 04.
Yeah, I didn't think about the division realignment, I guess that would be tricky. Still, if anyone ever wanted to tackle this, I think I'd have to send them a Christmas present or something. Or maybe just a card.
