Chris Paul has dropped 40 on the Grizzlies twice this season already, so scoring 17 in a half isn't a very big deal unless he does it every game. Because if he did it every game he would be leading scorer of nba.

The star domination isnt a problem I think because I have found some games they will score alot but other games they wont. But maybe it depends on your rosters and other settings.

I agree a bit about the paint issue. There is phases where the cpu will attack the basket very much and not shoot much but there is also other times where they will shoot alot, it also depends if you use man to man or zone or half court trap etc. I have found that in most games (9 min quarter) it balances out after 2-3 quarters and by the end of the game there is around 10 jumpshots made for each half (sometimes different for each team). I don't think its a big problem, but I do agree that it would be better if the cpu took more shots from the midrange.

The patch that is in the first page is the fixed version of my 1.33 it is basically the aiact that is in webberf1's patch...

try the fixed one bro it is now balanced inside and outside.

@ratler

put the aiact.viv into your act folder for example:
D:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 08\ai\act

and put the teams.dbf into your rosters

but the fastbreak bug still exist :(

i think it's a MAJOR thing to fix, bocause other things are working really well, but the fastbreak bug is really frustrating and it destroys the game at all.

Hi Kris, does this new fix come with:

1. WebberF1's latest 1.31Final aiact?
2. clydeli's new dunk.act? You said in his forum that you have tried his dunk file.

Is the one made by Gazun(1.33 + clydeli) older than this 1.33 fix? Is this 1.33 fix better?

this fixed release is with webberf1's latest patch and with my bro clydeli's work

@Wejw

have you tried the fixed one? cus apparently i have now fixed that fastbreak bug and if you think that it is still not fixed then i cant do anything about that sorry :(

yes, this bug still in my game... and cpu doesn't setting their offence, everyone are backing down, no teamplay at all.

I don't remember the number of gamefix, but i think the best gameplay was the aiact combined with the 1.0 webber's rosters. Can't you just use this gameplay and combine it with webber's 1.3 animations and clydellis dunks ? it would be the best gameplay i think...

I agree that this 1.33 forces the defence inside, but cpu still forces it even when double or tripple-teamed. Everytime i score a basket or miss a shot i have to quickly select the C or PF and turbo his way to right under the basket, only in time to foul a MUCH quicker opposing C or PF, even if he's a Mutombo or a Eddy Curry. If I can manage to get there in time, and the double-team comes, they still force the shot, commiting charges or missing shots with terrible offensive players like Reggie Evans.
There are only a few outside shots, and no midrange game.

I know how difficult it is to balance the crappy gameplay EA gave us. Either we have a player giving up a wide open shot under the rim or we have the fastbreak problem.
It will be complicated to make us 100% happy with the gameplay, but we're happy that you're trying, Kris, so thank you (Y)

v2 of my 1.33 fix is now released and i think this is now the final fix for my 1.33 ill be making 1.34 soon if you still dont like this v2 fix :)

You feel the same way I do. You need to defend hard and tight and also use steals and fouls (to stop the break) to your advantange. And everything is hard earned on offense. I like also that cpu will penetrate if there is opening but kick out for open man. I like, but it seems it s hard to please everyone.


exactly dude! the gampeplay is truly superb thanks to you guys making this patch! :D we ask for a gamplay that kicks hardcore @$$ and we have it right now! don't know what's wrong with some of us but all we have to do is step up our defence more just like in a real basketball game. :twisted:

or is it that now, we are just having a HARD time WINNING? :roll:

come on guys! they made the game more challenging than what EA gave us so lets just "Bring our A Game" into it and JUST PLAY.

HEY Kris, this is one great patch; however, since the beginning of the year this game has always been wayyyyyy too easy. i have always been able to beat the cpu 100 percent, and i say again 100000 percent of the time.

now how is this possible? as many of guys have noticed if u want to score no matter what you just simply drive in all the way under the basket and do a reverse dunk with an above average dunker. i could get 100points from any player that could dunk by doing exactly this every single time

Kris is there any way you could make it difficult for players to always jam it in when they are under the basket?

and if anyone does not agree with me or not understand plz discuss

Hey Kris, question: How important is the teams.dbf file? Since some of us have already started our dynasty/season mode, we cannot replace the teams.dbf because we would have to restart the whole dynasty/season mode again. Is it important that we replace the teams.dbf file or will the replacement of the new aiact.viv file will be enough to alter the gameplay for the better? thanks

almost perfect except for that when sometimes when cpu is on fastbreak they are wide open for a layup they still pass it outside or hesitates before shooting. (especially the bigmen) other than that its good...
