The Good News Thread

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Either way, solid buy. (Y)

He said he got one with the falcon chip, so its recent.

Forza 2 in the second echelon of great games imo.

Top Echelon:
Gears of war
Bioshock
Halo 3

2nd Echelon:
Crackdown
Rainbow 6 Vegas
Forza 2

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is great, have fun with that.

Not sure if this is a good deal or not, but I got a brand new Xbox 360 Premium (with the new Falcon chip), bundled with Forza 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Guitar Heroes II with the guitar for $400. NBA 2K8, here I come!

Why am I expecting Qballer to post in the Letting Off Steam thread with something like "I got herpes/STD" or "she used me" or "whore".
Let the waiting begin.

hey, the good thing is that she's pretty damn close to being a whore without being an actual whore. so there are no surprises here since she's some crazy party bitch from Long Beach.

and surprisingly Shadow, she's not Filipino. but close. she's Cambodian/Thai.

I signed up to a sportsbet account....I had a free $100 bet....had to be bet on one bet....if I win, I keep the winnings....so rather than take a safe bet, I went with a $6.25 bet which would win me $625 (or $525 after they got their $100 back)....so the bet was a half-time/full-time result....I pick a Lakers/Cavs combo, meaning Lakers leading at half-time, which they did by like 2 points....and went for Cavs for the win, figuring Lakers were a bad 3rd quarter team & Cavs were at home & due for a win....Cavs got up 4, so I'm up $525....good news (Y)

So I just won Chickenfest.

Chickenfest is a very special tradition at my HS. Every year my school and my rival school shoot a rubber chicken with a giant slingshot into the basket from half court at the halftime of our boys and girls basketball games (it's a doubleheader).

The ASB President (me), and two administrators take turn shooting. We each shoot three times. It's very intense. You get three points for a bucket, two points for hitting rim, and one point for hitting the backboard.

My team and I were up 11-4 after the girls halftime, and we ended up winning 17-9. The fourth win in five years.

It's pretty cool, I got a giant trophy. I last week I had to remake the slingshot because it broke, and it spent this entire week practicing, and it paid off.

Anyway, thats my good news.

My school won both basketball games too, but that doesn't mean anything because they have piss poor basketball teams.

What's a hattrick in cricket? Is it like 3 runs on a single hit/play?

It would be embarassing if your loss was a huge margin while being proud of your hat trick.

Univ holiday = no class.
Sweet.
And if what was texted to me is true, then Monday is a no school day also.
Doubly sweet.
Four day fucking holiday.

EDIT: Monday is also free, which means I get to watch the ASG. Triple sweetness.
