Pdub... the clock never stops in our games. The only time it does is in the last minute of the 2nd and 4th quarter. Not even in time outs let alone inbounds. Take into account that its a social league where not everyone is actually that good... and you have fairly low scoring games.

One of our best quarters of the season was in the game X described... our team won 20-4 in that quarter (i had about 8,9 points in that quarter alone and X had about 8 maybe? cant remember but funny how both of us had hand injuries as well)... that was mainly because we were clicking as a team and me and X took most of the shots and we didn't seem to miss much while other team couldn't get it done...

so if we were absolutely firing, we could score 60-70 points I'd say....but on our team, Will & I would have to be going nuts, the other team would have to stink & not double team us or anything....

but look at it this way, the average game is about 38 minutes as they start the clock before teams are on the court....each time there is a foul, the clock keeps on running....even if there are free throws....a foul and 2 free throws could take almost a minute off the clock....sometimes a lot of fouls are called....we might only get 6 minutes of game out of every 10 minutes....and every game is like that....clock doesn't stop for timeouts unless in last 2 minutes of 4th quarter or last minute of 2nd quarter....if we worked more on college or international system, our team which is crappy on offence would put up around 45-50 points I'd say....on a good night, 70 or so....but we win games on defence, not offence....

Whenever you are a team with less talent in a rec league like that I feel like you always have to be a team that looks to fastbreak. The more easy buckets the better.

I use the same strategy for my 8th grade team I coach. When your that young, talent is all that really matters, and my guys don't have the most. But coaching can offset that if you really get the tempo up. We usually try and keep the game close in the first half and make a lot of substitutions to keep everyone fresh. Then in the second half we turn it up to blazing speed. We are undefeated.

Awesome news: Got an iPod for my b-day.

Bad news: My favorite band, Tool, apparently has not released rights to their songs to Apple. *cuts self*

hmm I get the idea with the easy buckets, but the only problem is that with 2 girls on the coed team, i'm the only one of the 3 guys that can dribble without losing the ball. and I'm really not a great ballhandler either. we're REALLY turnover prone whether mostly because of our dribbling difficulties.

Then your team should only pass and not dribble. Work on getting open. Like Netball. Might soud gay but it works in trainings so why not try it in games? How good is the competition?

I'd be impressed if he's scoring pot in the midst of playing a b-ball game. Usually you gotta separate business and pleasure.

One of my mates has been diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said that his chances of surviving are 60% at best. More like 50%.

I can't believe this shit...he's only 21 years old...

When will they finally find a cure for cancer that works all the time...? First my best and closest friend had to die from cancer at the age of 12 and now this...

Shit seems so unreal.

Sorry to hear that, dramacydal.

My uncle has stage 4 cancer, but chemotherapy is the shit. Expensive and all this, but probably the best medical solution around.

I'll try finding a Tom Cruise love-related quote to ease your pain, but for now..

You should forget the sorrow and have fun with your friends, be like a faggot to be stronger...
Oxford Dictionary wrote:A bundle of iron or steel rods bound together for reheating, welding, and hammering into bars

...or all of you could be a faggot to her...
Oxford Dictionary wrote:A bundle of sticks or twigs tied together as fuel; Hist. spec. one used in burning heretics alive. Hence, the punishment of being burnt alive for heresy

...or you could find a faggot to forget about her...
Oxford Dictionary wrote:A person engaged temporarily to fill another's place at the muster of a regiment or to keep up its strength

... or you could try taking up a faggot to pass the time...
Oxford Dictionary wrote:Ornament (needlework) with faggoting; join (pieces of material) by faggot-stitch

...when else fails, you could always eat a faggot...
Oxford Dictionary wrote:A kind of rissole or meatball made of minced pig's liver or other offal mixed with bread or suet, herbs

That was actually funny. Anyways, a new chick is into me, but I have a dilemma - when I asked her with how many guys he had sex (you'd ask the same question if you were me in that particular situation), she first said nine and then three, when I told her my number. I don't know what to believe, but it did seem that she was joking when she said the first number. I have no intention dating a 19 year old chick who had sex with nine guys already. So what to believe? I also don't know if she's a bit nut in a cute kind of way or is she just nuts. But I do know she's fucking hot and that she's blowing my mind away.
