If anyone wants to continue on with this by either adding textures or whatnot go for it. I'd appreciate credit but you don't need to ask for permission to include this in your own mods.

err.. using this light thingy, it will replace the court patch i get from lagoa or not? or just replace the lightning thingy files without affecting the custom court?

it should work with other patches, the only thing this will affect is stadium textures, not the courts

Just look at the screens on the first page man, it alters the reflection setting so that the reflections on the court are more blurry, not a a carbon copy of the lighting they reflect.

I have a question, I downloaded the fss/goto move patch but, it doesn't have any effect, I put it in sgsm folder, but there is another sgsm folder inside the original sgsm folder...
So I put it there too, but still, no effect.

anyway let's talk about Street 08

For the first release I will include 10 courts, 9 from the Street Legends Mod and 1 new one to be announced later.

It will work with any roster as the only dbf / roster file I am editing is the location.dbf. The reason I am not creating a specific roster for this yet is because there are ~5 roster updates right now and I'd rather wait it out till Andrew posts his up. So this means no new jerseys, no new players, no new teams, just courts for you to play on in all of the game modes with NBA teams and NBA jerseys.






I may mess with the dunk.act (aiact.viv) a little bit to spice things up but we'll see. Anyway, everything is going smoothly with the transition to 08 so after finishing this last court and adding some polish I should be able to get a quick release out to you guys.

Yeah, I've been trying to get some of those 06 street courts into Live 08. Kinda hard since I don't know how to edit the location.dbf. So I've been replacing the 80's, 90's, Adidas and EA Sports International ones. But since there's twelve in all...

Anyway, looking forward to the release.

EDIT: If I am allowed to, can I make a (hopefully) small request? Can you add some "fake" courts to the location.dbf file so I can add some of those 06 street courts to my game?

I tried transferring over a record from the 07 extra street courts location .dbf file (transferred a record that used abbreviation "jaog" before copying over the 06 street court with "jaog" as the name) and adding a preview so I could select it at the court select screen, but it didn't work.

It's a bad explanation, but I hope you understand what it means and the request doesn't bother you too much.

ob looking forward to those courts, i'm also waiting for andrew his roster wich is always the best in my opinion. By the way will the courts just be added to the choice list where you want to play ? So that i can like play the lakers against the bull on one off those courts ?

What you guys will have to do is re-save your favorite roster and import my location.dbf. The courts will be automatically attached to teams but in play now you can choose which court to play on like normal.

I am not going to make a 10th court. Im not happy with any old ones and I dont want to make a new one right now with a 3D crowd. Hopefully a release soon after i mess with the aiact.

just curious... does anyone use the joystick thing that can be installed into the computer (that ppl w/ keyboard used for '07). I'm just curious if it works again for '08.
