sorry to hear that Jackal.

on another note, my second bball game is tonight. I've been contemplating what kind of tempo we should play at. Should we slow it down to limit turnovers? unfortunately, we have a hard time scoring so it might hurt us because slowing the game down makes each possession that more important. or should we speed up the game to try to get more shots up? only problem is, there's only 2 maybe 2 1/2 decent scorers on the team and i'm the only ballhandler so that might give the oppenent more chances to score.

Sorry, Jackal.

Back to bitching.

So I got this new car, and I love it. There's no problem with the car. But almost every night since I got it, we've been over at a friend's house and I've gotten too goddamn stoned to safely drive home. So my car's been in their parking lot the majority of the time I've had it. :x

My condolences, Jackal.

God, I need to get some sleep. I haven't slept for three days straight. I should try one of those sleeping pills or something.. I feel like shit

Edit: Being poor is a bitch.. I can't even have three meals a day let alone have some nice things. I've lost 10 pounds in two weeks and a half just by not eating. Its depressing seeing rich bastards ..especially kids. They have everything they want.. Its not fair. Is asking for decent warm meals to much? No wonder I don't sleep.. a kid my age should not worry what to eat or how to cut down on every little thing. To imagine my parents get like 500 euros a month and 2/3 of that goes for paying the bills. The other 1/3 goes for food and everything else. Plus when you got a family member that is on a wheelchair and has special needs.
I just wanna cry sometimes :(.

And can someone please post.. I don't want to make double posts.

So it's another long night of study. Actually, I couldn't motivate myself to study at first, so I played Mafia (no, not that guy, the game) and PES, but then I started and now I'm on a little break. Two tests in a couple hours, but at least I have the rest of the week to relax. But I have another test on Monday, and I have to build this stupid project that we have to present in a couple weeks. Freakin' University, there's so much shit to do, I wish I could get back a couple years and actually learn how to study in school, not now.
Also, my birthday's next week, I'll be waiting for your presents, guys

EDIT: WHERE'S MY SIG!? I WANT IT BACK BITCHES! Probably McDwyane ate it or sth :( I'll just go to the NLSC Issues and make thread after thread 'til I get it back (Y)

I'm starting to fear the worst. Indy might be right about this season's Pacers.

I'm actually glad that Indy might be right on Tinsley... Kind of took a gamble on him with my fantasy team. It's paid off in the first game at least. :)

Did you win your game?

And on the Pacers, look at how changing the system can work wonders... only one game though so people can't get too excited. I hope they don't make me look stupid as I didn't think Indiana would make the playoffs. Although I wanna hear about Dunleavy playing good this season.

dude last night, I scored 5 of our 18 points in 38 minutes of running clock

my first hoop was sick though. i ripped this guy bringing the ball up because he doesn't handle too well and i took it to the other end for a finger roll

Good work with the finger roll (Y). You should ask The X about my troubles scoring gimme layups lol (one game, intercepted the ball and the two guys stopped chasing me and I managed to miss...). It's quite embarassing. I blame it on lack of training but that can't be just it.

Does your team usually only score 18? Don't worry man, that sounds like our team... we should be scoring at least 35-40 points as a team but find ourselves in the 25-30 range usually because no one apart from The X and I actually step up. Plus the ongoing clock means less time to play and stuff.

How does your team play now?

Will (13-14) & I combined (21) for 34 or 35 of team's 41 points in the last game of the season....we probably took no more than 1/2 the team's shots  it was really only a 32-33 minute game since the other team didn't really have much of a team & the game started 7-8 minutes late....our games run with continuous clock, so no stoppages for fouls or timeouts (unless in last minute of 2nd quarter of last 2 minutes of 4th quarter)....

our team is pretty dismal offensively, we usually average about 30ppg, with Will & I usually combining for about 65-70% on the team's points on about 45% of the shots....we both usually get double teamed in games, depending on who is hot that game....we do find the open man but they can't hit the backside of a barn....defensively we are decent, holding teams to an average of 36ppg....we're betting we have 6'7" Ben cleaning it up in the middle 8-)

but yeah, Qballer, sounds like your team is having the difficulty of ours regarding tempo....if your team is unfit, likes ours, we usually don't run....but now that some of us are getting fitter & better at running the court (we included), we are starting to push it a little more & have been a lot more competitive....if you've got decent guards, push the tempo....if your big men run the court, reward them with passes....same if they make big defensive plays....in a slowed down offense, you'd need players who can either create for themselves, create for others, hit the offensive glass, hit open jumpers....problem with slow down offense is execution....I find you need decent guards....you also need to be a good defensive team as well....if your team is inept offensively, you might want to run....
