Man, today's episode was the worst I've ever seen. It was completely unfunny. Too much dialogue that wasn't even funny. In fact, it was boring

Yup...it wasn't even funny. The only part that was slightly hilarious was Adam West referencing "Moesha" and Oxygen network.

I didn't dislike it but I thought it was pretty average. It had one of my least favourite types of Family Guy gags, namely attempting to zing a celebrity by mocking the formula of Vince Vaughn's movies. Much like the shot at Robin Williams back in "Petergeist", it comes off as being a bit hypocritical since Family Guy's formula could be similarly broken down (and criticised). To me, those kinds of zingers are much funnier when they're on target and in particular when they're well deserved, though I suppose the latter criteria is a matter of opinion.

It looks like Family Guy's found a new staple; obligatory potshots at other shows and celebrities in every episode. Obviously they've satirised other TV shows and movies before and mocked certain celebrities but it seems to becoming much more common. Between the shots at Jack Black, Scrubs and Colin Farrell they managed to avoid about two minutes of plot. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so hypocritical since Family Guy's formula can be summed up in a manner that's just as glib and some of the jokes (like Stewie mocking Farrell) drag on for too long and don't have a particularly inspired payoff. Nevertheless, there were a few laughs to be had so it was a decent episode.

For the first time in forever, I was engrossed in a Family Guy episode. The "Best of Both Worlds" ending would've been more epic if this had been the season finale like originally planned. I assume the second part will be disappointing.

The 100th special was absolutely terrible though.

Wow, that would be the first time in a long time I would have actually agreed with something said on Family Guy.

The other ones were "a whole 'nother" and "all of the sudden".

That was a hell of a wacky episode.

Irregardless of Stewie's hatred towards us true Americans, I figured out when I like Family Guy. It is when Lois isn't playing foil to Peter, and able to be something on her own. Basically, whenever Peter is not the primary focus and driver of the plot, the show works better.

Anybody laugh their ass off when Peter crashed through the ceiling as Mary Poppins and killed two little kids? Anybody laugh harder when Peter realizes in horror what he has done and ends up throwing up on the dead, bloody bodies? Or am I just sick and need counselling?

Let's make it a group therapy session. Fox may be upsetting Seth MacFarlane airing the completed episodes that he's not finished overseeing while he's part of the WGA strike but I thought the latest episode was great. The two part episode was strong though they telegraphed the ending. That was alright though as it made fun of a popular TV show convention and of course the ending of The Sopranos.

I thought so too. I'm sure a lot of it was done for comedic effect and was tongue-in-cheek, but Seth still came off a bit too arrogant to be funny, to me at least. I really don't get the shots at Scrubs unless they feel they ripped off the cutaway/fantasy concept from them...in which case it's a case of glass houses, because The Simpsons were doing that on a regular basis long before Family Guy. The focus group gag got old pretty quick too.

Did anyone catch "Peter's Daughter"? I thought the scene with the coathanger was actually a funny mislead since I wouldn't have put it past the writers to have Peter chase Meg around with it only to be stopped by a more level headed character.

One of the best episodes I've seen recently. The alien with the funny voice was hilarious.

The latest ep was one of the funniest in a while in my opinion though I still have to protest the knock on Robin Williams. Like the shot at Jack Black earlier in the season, when it comes to following a familiar formula and being repetitive, Family Guy is guilty of that too. A matter of personal taste and opinion though, I guess.

Another fine episode in Back to the Woods. Quagmire's excitement at being on stage with Barry Manilow and his book club meeting were two of the funniest moments for me.

My wife and I didn't like it much...they forced the plot too much by suggesting someone can take over another's life simply by stealing their wallet. I know it's supposed to be comedic but that's just a lazy attempt by the writers of the show. The new episode of american dad was funnier

Do you mean the very end, or how they catch James woods the very same way?
I too was expecting a different ending, or at least a little twist, but I thought busting him with candy again was pretty funny.

They pretty much repeated that whole sequence save the location they trapped James Woods.

Play it again, Brian was more than decent. I laughed out loud a few times and they even managed to avoid overly gratuitous and hypocritical shots at people for the sake of zinging someone, but I have to admit I'm always a little disturbed by the idea of romance between Brian and Lois. Nothing too special but about par for the course for Family Guy.

I wasn't too convinced with that episode. I don't know, I guess I was expecting something else for the episode where Brian admits his feelings...The only time I laughed out loud was when Chris finally asked "are you a pedophile?" after Mr Herbert's awkward bedtime story ...

I thought that was good too, kind of a new twist on the running gag with Chris just coming out and asking him that instead of Herbert simply making a string of inappropriate/disturbing/suggestive remarks while it flies over everyone's heads or they sit/stand there in stunned silence.

I was surprised that they didn't push Mr. Herbert to say or do dirtier things if he's actually in a house with three kids with no parental supervision. That had huge potential, but they fell short on the jokes. The romance with Brian and Lois on the other hand, was disturbing and plain sick.
