thanks a bunch guys...

El Barto wrote:how about wade? can you please make him with his skintone darker as of now? your previous version(s) of him were around skin3

i already answered that before El Barto, you must've missed it, posted it again below...
his skintone is actually customized in between the 3-4 skintone... although ea's default color is way off (too light) i still think his skin should still be a tad lighter than let's say a full fledged 4 skin toned type of players like a garnett, a ben wallace, or a shawn kemp...

haha both of you guys still crack me up... :)

alright guys, i already did my beta testing duties for BAYAG and had fun with Andrew's roster... while playing with it however, i noticed that my durant which is included in it doesn't really resemble how he looks now (i made the 1st one with a HS source pic of him  ) the good news is that i squeezed in whatever patching juice i have to make the mature version of him before i uninstalled my live 07 again (to save HD space)... so without further ado...

coming of age...
Image
things tweaked since the 1st version of mr. durant
- detailed more mature/current/usa team look bhed of him
- major tweaks on the headshape from the one i made from scratch
- rearranged the back, top part of the head
- reshaped the forehead
- portruded the part where the mouth and lip connect
- gave him a jawline
- resized the neck
- gave his asymmetric front headshape like in real life
- finally have a decent template for previews after 2 yrs. of being an active member/patcher :)

a lot of cyberface patcher fail to say this so i'll say it on their behalf, very big props to Ryan aka "mr. hi-res pics", for without he's huge pics (and i mean huge... like hugh grant's hair :) ) all of us would be having a hard time to scavenge and get decent mugs of these players... so again thanks Ryan if you're reading this... (i just noticed though your username becomes shorter everytime, just don't wait for it to become Rya, or Ry in the future... )

alright, since this is my last patch (again my live is already uninstalled as i speak so it's 100000% sure this is the last...) i decided to make it interesting and instead of feedbacks from you guys, i will make it a reward Q&A game so instead of the tiresome "PLSS RLSSS!!!!!!!!!" it actually lies in your hands if durant 2.0 gets released...

RULES:
- i will ask a 11 questions (mostly about me, don't worry though... most of the answers lie in my threads... )
- anyone who wants to participate can...
- you can answer the questions in no particular order just write the number of question you are answering
- the faster answer, of course the faster i'll release the goods...

here it goes...

Q#1: what was my only other username other than the one i am using now?

Q#2: what is my nationality? (spelling must be correct :) )

Q#3: i told this a couple of times before in this very thread, who is my favorite active nba player?

Q#4: whose base headshape did i use for my kevin durant?

Q#5: even though i am known in the community as a cyberface patcher, my 1st ever patch contribution was not a cyberface, what patches are they?

Q#6: for the 2 years that i've been active, which other patchers have i collaborated with the '96 bulls and the dream team 1 mods?

Q#7: who is my favorite patcher of all time? (i never mentioned this before so i'll give a visual of his work: Image
and a clue wherein the more senior members in the forum will surely get: he is arguably the greatest aesthetic patcher the nba live community ever produced and we both have a soft spot for legends)

Q#8: in 06, i had a catch phrase when releasing a patch... complete it: "give me a _______ yeah!"

Q#9: in 07, Lean, njkobe, and i had an inside joke that lasted for months to praise each others works... complete it: "OFF-THE-*insert word*-_______!"

Q#10: i am a resident patcher in which patching site?

Q#11: who is the dude currently on my sig and ava?

alright, only one question remain for durant v2.0 to be released... Q#4... i'll add a clue to narrow the possibilties...
- the base headshape for my durant is an nba journeyman signing through different teams throughout his 10yr career and currently wears the number 6 jersey on his current eastern conference team... :)

So much for the head bashing. My head aches, dammit. My vision is blurred and I only see these letters:

"P L S R L S"

Thu Aug 23, 2007 10:28 am

Q#4: whose base headshape did i use for my kevin durant?

Raja Bell, perhaps?

11. The late, great Kurt Cobain. Nirvana is my second favorite band besides Alice in Chains. :headbang:

Alice in Chains rocks. "I'm the man in the box." :headbang:

Thu Aug 23, 2007 10:46 am

Alice in Chains is one of the greats during the 90's (along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden on the grunge side). :headbang: Now we have lame bands.

Lean wrote:Now we have lame bands.

Sorry to go off-topic here, and Lean I truly enjoy your work and have much respect for you as a member of this community, but if I ever see you write this again, I might have to out a bounty out on you. I mean, this is far and away the most exciting time in the history of recorded music. Granted, if you watch MTV and listen to the radio for your new music, of course you'll hear shit. They play lowest-common-denominator garbage. At the same time, absolutely anything you want is available these days, and there is such a ridiculous amount of awesome music being made around the world it's incredible. I just hate it when people say things like "no good music is being made", or "everything that can be done in music has been." I implore you, open your ears. If you're cool with just listening to Nirvana, Soundgarden, etc., then great, but don't dismiss all current music just because you can't appreciate/understand it, or haven't taken the time to.

I just gets my goat when people get stuck in one era of music and then claim everything else is garbage. So again, sorry for going off-topic, and much respect to Lean. I just had to get my 2 cents in there.

First of all, I recommend you spell recommend correctly :lame:

Gundy wrote:^Any reccomendations?

Hmmm, recommendations for a Tool fan. Let's see here.

(Artist-Album)
Liars - Drum's Not Dead
Akron/Family - Self-titled, or try their split CD with Angles of Light, also self-titled.
...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead - Source Tags & Codes
Refused - The Shape of Punk to Come
The Dead Science - Submariner
Deerhunter - Cryptograms (also try the Florescent Grey EP)
TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain

And some others that might appeal to a Tool fan, but should definitely be checked out anyway:

Okkervil River - Black Sheep Boy, Black Sheep Boy Appendix (EP)
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, A Ghost Is Born, Sky Blue Sky (check out the guitar solo on the song "Impossible Germany" off Sky Blue Sky. It'll rock your socks off)
The Microphones - The Glow, pt. 2
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (my favorite album ever)
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

And that's barely even scratching the surface, there.

Fri Aug 24, 2007 12:32 pm

idk...just helping you out..? :|

Fri Aug 24, 2007 12:37 pm

But the question was, "whose base headshape did i use for my kevin durant?" What does all that stuff have to do with why it can't be Raja Bell? Am I missing something?

Fri Aug 24, 2007 2:20 pm

eh. forget that i asked that then. :eh:

Fri Aug 24, 2007 3:46 pm

It's alright, TheMC5. I just find them lame.
