You can usually just download them. At least that's been my experience. I just started patching about a week ago.

This has been the best for me so far (after crashing and uninstalling.reinstalling the game about 7 times) : the SUPREME UPDATE MOD - just a simple download, no work required, EA sports official patch (same deal just a dowloadable link),
the NLSC official roster update (everyone except KG is right - also a download) and the SUM patch (requires sgsm file placement - C:/Programfile/EASports/NBALIVE07/sgsm...)

Here are the links:
SUM - http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafile ... le&id=1349

SUM patch - http://www.nba-live.com/download/pafile ... le&id=1350

NLSC Roster update - http://download.nba-live.com/pafiledb.p ... le&id=1207

EA Patch (DOWNLOAD FIRST!!) - http://download.nba-live.com/pafiledb.p ... le&id=1196

The ea patch is for the DVD-Rom version of the game which I assume you have...Also when you do this, please do a dynasty (even if it's just a quick sim-all one) and got to the all-star weekend. Try to enter the 3 point contest...PLEASE let me know if your game crashes...if it doesn't put a created player on your team and see if it does it.

Oh, I also have a practice court made by Jaosming which is really cool...

here's the link - http://download.nba-live.com/pafiledb.p ... le&id=1324

I hope this helps man. Like I said, I just started doing this and this is what I have so far. I would also recommend unistalling the game, reinstalling, then before even opening the game, download whatever you want. This is my personal list of what I have found works perfectly so far. If you start to go crazy with it, you will be bound to mess up the game, and you will have to unistall/reinstall again. (which after modding the game, I had to delete the program file itself, not go through add/remove programs I went to C:/Programfiles/Easports/NBALive07 and deleted the whole file and restarted with the downloads.)

Sorry it was so long, but from one beginner to the other, I hope this helps you out.

P.S. THE SUM is the SHIT!! If you get it all done, you will play NBA live all night. Trust me...it makes the game soooo cool!

PEACE

Unrar/Unzip 'em:

Rosters to: My Documents\NBA Live 07\saves

all .ebo , .fsh and .ubr to: NBA Live 07\sgsm (it's usually located in Program Files Folder).

.viv - read the instruction to every patch.

Well, when you un-rar them, all of those, except the Tatoo patch, and the Court, download themselves to the correct folder (at least that's what they did for me) The SUM is an executable file for newbies like you and me. The tattoo patch you go to C:/Programfile/EASports/NBALIVE07/sgsm and just copy past or extract them there... It will ask you to overwrite and just say yes to all. NLSC is also a executable...does all the work itself. The practice court goes in the afore mentioned sgsm folder. The EA patch is also an executable and once again does all the work for you. So they aren't to hard...You'll get it after a few tries. just remember C:/Programfile/EASports/NBALIVE07/sgsm ...and you will probably be ok. Most files go there unless they are rosters or .viv files like the Vl@d said. Hope you get it. It really does make the game a lot better. And please, when you get done...Do a dynasty and see if your game crashes at the all star 3 point shootout. Thanks

no man of course its not a pirate!! otherwise it would be non-sense to keep saying it over and over again! i ve re-installed the game and the patch doesn't seen to work.it lokks like ive installed the wrong patch version but since i have an english cd-dvd, i've clearly downloaded the first patch found in the list, namely:
Official Bug Fix Patch (English DVD-ROM Version)

I had the exact same problem when I tried to download it the first time too...SOOOO

Try this...Go to C:/Programfiles/EASports/NBALIVE07...delete that file...
Then, Go to My Documents/NBALIVE07...delete that...

This will make your comp basically forget NBA Live existed on it...
Then remove it's shortcut, and remove it from your add/remove programs list...

You comp will never know that NBA live was on it...
Then Reinstall, and before you ever play it...install the patches and mods...

I've never had it fail on me...Just remember to delete basically every file associated with NBA Live and then restart

IF you had a great dynasty going or something...sorry, but it's more than worth it to delete everything.

Actually, I don't think that U've to delete Me Docs\NBA Live 07 folder. And, anyway, there'll be some records in da registry, so Ur comp won't forget Live after deleting just it's files.

Try to put this .exe-file (my original) to Ur Live folder (one, which's NOT in My Docs). After that put Patch there too. And run Patch Installer. That should help

Play the game...When you use the direct pass, the PF and SF are dunk and layup,
with the small forward being dunk and the power foward being layup (the buttons BTW)
In the original make, they are switched...SF - it says layup by him, but you still press the dunk button and vice versa with the PF.
The official patch fixes that text error...That's probably the easiest way as to how you can know.

As Pdub said in the other thread, you'll also notice a Fatigue Effect On/Off option has been added in the settings.
