"The patch works great as long as you dont use the appearance.bat patch after the draft. I found that it works best if you save your dynasty and open it in db commander. On the players tab filter team 39. Then edit rookie rank 0-89. Add the files from the D/L to your dynasy and run setup, (wait for the appearance to finish as it takes a minute) and it works 100% of the time.

Some skin colors were wrong, Al Horford color should be 2, Alando Tucker should be 4, Ron Lewis should be 4. I forget who else I changed.

Plus there are some missing players like Glenn "Big Baby" Davis, Chris Lofton, Chris Richard.

If anyone has those CF's and portraits I would love to have them."

If you do not do it after the draft, when do you do it, and where do you place the file of appearnces.bat? i want to make sure that i do not mess this up. so far i have no added the patch to my dynasty and the scouting has them in there... is that all i do right now? anything wrong?

the quoted suggestion is a little bit confusing for me, i really am horrible with this kind of stuff. do you think it's possible to make a detailed step by step plan to help me out? thank you.

could I send my dynasty to someone who check if everything is right?

because I'm not good in doing such things...

Edit: but I have just played 16 games, so I have some time left until the draft...

Open your players.dbf file with DB commander. Scroll down to the bottom and scroll over a bit until you see the field named ROOKIERANK. There should be many players with a rating of "60" under the ROOKIERANK. Keep one of them at 60, for the others, change to 61, 62, 63, etc., all the way to 89. Then run the draft program again, you should be fine.

thank you. I'm having some trouble with what you said "then run the draft program again"... what exactly does that mean?

I also downloaded the 60 files, but don't know if i put them in SGSM or in my SAVES folder...?

also, somebody said this: ""The patch works great as long as you dont use the appearance.bat patch after the draft. I found that it works best if you save your dynasty and open it in db commander. On the players tab filter team 39. Then edit rookie rank 0-89. Add the files from the D/L to your dynasy and run setup, (wait for the appearance to finish as it takes a minute) and it works 100% of the time."

what does "filter team 39" mean? i edited the players that were all ranked 60 before to being 60-89 in ranking, but don't think that saved for some reason... i am horrible at this. thanks guys

alrgith, just to clarify then, because it still seems to not be working. In my DB commander (which has 10 days left by the way...?), although i have changed the rookieranks from all 60s to 60-89, the player names are still all Curtis Sumpter.

Here is what i hve done:

1. downloaded the "60" files - this did nothing. :?

2. changed the ranks from the 60s to 60-89

3. re-installed the draft-class -- including: re-copying all the files into the sgsm folder, as well as running the setup in my saves folder.

4. cried like a little girl, out of frustration, and there is one day left in my regular season right now.

the first message on the first page says:

"Just make sure you check your players.dbf and make sure the draftees are ranked from 0-89 before you install. If there are ranked 0-60 replace the files with these ones -Top 60 V1.1 "

Can you tell me how to upload my saves folder to a site where someone can look at it? cause i clearly SUCK.

Get winzip or winrar and compress your dbf files into an archive, it doesn't matter which one, rar or zip. Then upload it to an online host like rapidshare or sendspace or megaupload. When it is done uploading, it will give you a link to it. Paste the link here.

Well it worked, but for some reason, there isn't an entry for rookie rank 88 or 89 in any of the bat files, so you have 3 Curtis Sumpters now. Here's the thing. You didn't give me the dat files, so I don't know if giving you the files will mess up your dynasty or not. Whatever happened, reordering the rookie ranks from 60-89 did the trick, but you will still have 3 Curtis Sumpters. So, I'm going to give you the players.dbf file with the renamed rookie rankings. Run the draft mode on it again, and you should be fine. Make sure you don't run the "Top 60 files" on it though, just the regular one.

they are there, i just skipped over them by accident my first time around. they are near the mid-bottom of the rookie section. try the search function, that might help too.

i tried to re-run the draft mode again, but i still have like 10+ Curtis Sumpters... I don't even think he's that good! lol.

I swear you are running the "Top 60" version. If you ran the regular version, you should only have 3 Curtis Sumpter's. I hope you backed up your dynasty before you started doing this. It would be easier to just make another backup and run it again on the original.

Know what? Fuck it. You'll probably mess up again. Zip your whole dynasty and upload it again. That means dbf files and dat files, anything in the directory.

(that's for the dynasty)

i just added the entire saves folder called "AmazingDraft" -- if you need anything else, i'll send that too.

Haven't been following this thread and don't intend to read through all posts to find the answer to my question, so forgive me if I ask a question that's already been answered.

- I don't have a file called appearance.bat... instead, I have playerinfo.txt that contains info about the players' heights, weights, and so on. I am still in the beginning of my season, so I still have a long way to go before I have to run it, according to the instructions, but where can I find it?

- Must I run the appearance.bat after the draft? I would like to run it before, so during scouting, I can at least see the right info of the respective players. Right now, Greg Oden is 6'8, Joakim Noah is 6'9, Durnat is 6'7, etc. Anyway around this?

Thanks.

lstern, this should do it.

Download

I just zipped up all the files in the folder. After you load this dynasty, don't save over it, just make a new save. That way if you go to the next season and something is messed up, you can grab the appearance.bat file from it and fix it. I simulated through to the next season and the skintones looked correct. So, I guess the only thing to do is run the Post Draft ratings bat file once you get into your next season. Good luck.

I don't know what you mean, you will have to run the draft mod on any dew dynasties you start in order to get those players. Of course you will have to fix the Rookie ranking again, though.
