Retro roster patches are pretty much the same as current roster updates. You need to create the necessary players with the appropriate ratings and bio data, and place the players on the appropriate teams (some of which will need to have their location or name edited). Obviously you'll need to utilise a few art updates if you want to go for as much authenticity as possible.

Thank you, but how will I know ratings for those players (I'm trying to make 1984/85 season roster patch)?

You can search for theirs stats. You can also find some vids and games on the internet.

You'll need to research the players. As *$#Elijah#$* said, their stats for the 1984/85 season is a good place to start.

I don't know of any sites offhand since I don't think BasketballReference.com has photos. Have you had any luck with image searches on Google or Altavista? That would be the first avenue.

I have classic teams ( 92 bulls,87 lakers) patch and I tried to dbf edit my 1984-85 location.dbf file so i could use La Lakers court The Forum. I have copied The Forum dbf line over Lakers's Staple Center and when I start the game Lakers Staples Center still appears and I can't find the Forum.I'm sure the changes are saved.I tried that with LA Clippers but it didn't helped me.What should I do?

Do you mean the text in the menus or the text on the court? You'll still need to update the Lakers' court files if you want their home court to look like The Forum rather than the Staples Center.

I have that court in my "stadia" folder and when I enter the game the court still looks the same as staples center(floor,backboard,colors,...).

Does the name of the court file match the TEAMABR4 value for the Lakers in teams.dbf?

Thanks, it finally works. But court colors, text and logos are still the same.In Forum floor writes "Staples Center" while other things such as backboards and shotcloks working fine. How can I fix that?

I'm not sure about that, it seems like an issue with the court patch. The dbf values only affect the text in menus and overlays, not the stadium itself.
