which quarter length do you who have the game use to get the most realistic stats?

I am using 8 Minute Quarters at the moment and it is quite realistic except for the High FG Percentage and my constant turnovers ;)

Also as a result of the high FG percentage the rebounding stats are a little low.

well i am sure that a lot of the reason that users tend to score more then in real life is that we always want to fast break and shoot the ball early in the shot clock. i am pretty sure that if we used the whole shot clock each time then the score would resemble real life scores.

that's a very good point... I had not quite thought of that... but do people fast break because they are impacient or because they think it is the best option?

It wasn't more than 10 years ago that most teams averaged over 100 points a game. If you go back further, most teams averaged over 115. I enjoy the faster pace of Live 2003. Half court set offenses are boring. :)

True, very true. I run only when I can and milk the clock. I play as the Cavaliers and that has a lot to do with it. No offensive leader keeps my shot selection low and I am always searching. My scores on 8 minute quarters are in the range of 75-85, but I have had teams drop 100 on me in previous versions...

How the hell do you get realistic stats with anything but 12 minute quarters???
2013 is the year?
Thanks to Vl@d, Leftos and all the other patchers for their hard work.

score

just for fun, i let the Lakers and Kings play in Sac last night.

I used 12 minute quarters, i set the skill level at Superstar. I did not play. i just let the comptuers play, did not even select a controller in the controller list.

after 2 quarters, the score was 98-89 Sac.

if i would have let it play the whole game, i'm sure over 400 total points would have been scored.. crazy.

slow the pace down

pass, looking for open looks, call isolation plays, get a man open, takes time, and it eats up the clock but its all good
