Because Popovič passes the ball way better, and he is pure team player, holding the team in his hands and making assists for his teammates. He is all-around player, who can dribble the ball, make a quick pass, or shoot the ball. So, I think that kind of player should have outside scorer, playmaker and 3-point shooter triggers.
Actually Štelmahers is a team player more than Popovič, who is a bit selfish and pretty often prefers to get to the basket himself or shoot a long/stupid three than to pass the ball to his teammate.
