Solution to team sock color glitch

Postby Tibs on Wed Feb 07, 2007 3:23 pm

Not sure if this is the right forum, but after some trial & error, I've been able to get the team socks to show up white for home & black for away.

The players need to have one of the "team socks" selected in the in-game edit player setting.

In teamgear.dbf under home uniform I set the color code value for the AUTOCOLOR field to 14343898 (white). The SOCKCOLOR value should be set to 0.

And for the away uniform, I set the color code for AUTOCOLOR field to 1644825 (black). The SOCKCOLOR value should be set to 1.

And presto, it seems to work. Here's Philly:

I haven't checked to see how this affects teamgear accessories, I imagine it will, but for the time being, I'm happy to have white/black home and away socks...

Does this change the color of headbands, elbow bands, etc. to be white and black as well for home/away, or can they be other colors, such as red?

yes that right

76ers is successful is because their away color is black

but if you edit Pacers

the away sock color will become yellow

Well you did fix the sock colors. But if you do this, all teams will have black bands for away and white bands for home.

One solution (albeit time consuming) could be to set players' band colors to actual colors, not team colors. That way the team color value will only affect sock color.

That is an option Tibs, but only if teams wear the same color bands for home/away/alternate, and even then you run into problems with throwbacks, etc. It's definitely something I'm doing for some teams, where applicable, however, as well as for the teams who wear white bands at home and black away, like Orlando for example.

Plus you are to edit every player to wear team socks.

if you're tired of white socks, there's a simple way of changing them from nba(supposedly white and black) socks to team socks. just open sockacc.dbf then for sock IDs # 1-5, change the COLOURTYPE from 1 to 0.

it kinda looks ok for some teams.

Hey Tib, I followed what you said on your first post to try to change the sock colour for the Raptors, but it's still white when I play in-game. Any ideas why that might be?
