What is the HEX to search for?

In my NBA Live 07 franchise it says the cap is 53.14 which is HEX CF94 last year it was C15C "you should search for 5CC1, not C15C" so what do you search for this year?

I've found the right value! The 53.14 salary cap is actually 53.135, so the value to look for is 8FCF. I tried it just now, changing my salary cap into 100M.

i just did a convertor of the 53.135 or 53.14 and that not a convertable dec to hex number so are we sure that the 8fcf is the right value to use as i used a couple of online converters and either them see as it vaule to convert

ok so i found the file i need to edit for salery, but i'm still having issuescoming up with the right hex from dec to put in. i'm usieing both the advance calultor (spelling wrong i know) from microsoft and an online site, but not getting what i want in the dsy. wher i can find the right convoter to do this properly, so i can put it the hex for what i want. short of that, what the hex for 95.5million

All you have to do is:
1) Jot down the shown salary cap (for example, 53.14)
2) Take that number and subtract 0.005 (so you have 53.135)
3) Open up the calculator and put it on scientific
4) Type in the five-digit number WITHOUT decimals. Make sure the calculator is on the 'Dec' setting (so 53135)
5) Click the bubble next to 'Hex', thus removing the filled bubble beside 'Dec'. The number appearing should now change to a four-digit number (in this case CF8F)
6) Using a program such as UltraEdit open the franchise.dat file located in the particular dynasty's save folder.
7) In the opened franchise.dat file, search for the Hex conversion of the salary cap, searching the last two digits followed by the first two (the search would be 8FCF)
8) Once this is found, go to the calculator and put the setting back to 'Dec'.
9) Enter what you would like the salary cap to be. Pretend there are three decimal places in the salary cap. Remember that you do not include the decimal. (for example a $65.53 million dollar cap would be entered into the calculator as 65530. This number was chosen as it is almost as high as you can go without yielding a 5 digit Hex number. If someone wants to test out for higher than this, please do and share how you edit with the extra digit)
10) Convert to Hex as done in step 5 (yielding a result of FFFA)
11) In franchise.dat replace the searched-for current cap with the salary cap you want. Be sure to input it last two digits first, first two digits last (so FAFF).

Hope this was of help. I know it was limited to a lower ceiling for the cap but hopefully it will be of aid.

ok i think this will and i think i see where i was making my mistakes.
1 the number digits in dec that need to used of five not four, then
2 in the ned reverse the hex order when putting the hex inplace of what were writing over. to say (not right i dont what it would be) 8dfa i need writ in as fa8d, if i'm understanding this the right way.

thes work fine and thank you. i which we knew how to get closer 100m, but i'll take what i have for now. . i'd like to set to say 80m ofor something but i to dont how wer going to get that, since were dealing with four chartcer hex apperant limit at the moment. i follow and see some sees a way to go up and do it if the possibly occurs, butthis the start i needed, ty

I got the 100 mil working!

All i did was exactly what i did in NBA Live 06.

I typed 100000 in the calculator dec value.

Then i converted it to HEX and got 186A0 (5 digits)

I searched fracnshise.dat for 8FCF (the default cap value)

You must rearrange the HEX values in order for the game to recognise it, with 4 digits it was las 2 digits first followed by the first 2 digits, for a 5-digit value it's like this:

- Last 2 digits first; in this case it would be A0
- Followed by the 2 digits that are placed before the A0; in this case it would be 86
- Lastly we are left with one digit and we must convert it into a 2 digit value for the game to recognise it so simply place a zero before it; in this case it would turn out to be 01

The result of the rearranged HEX value will be: A0 86 01

A simple way of remembering the arrangement is by this:

last 2 digits, 2 middle didghts, zero and last digit.

So to recap:

100mil = 186A0 in HEX value
rearranged to A0 86 01
find 8FCF in franchise.dat
replace it with A0 86 01
save and exit.

I decided to put some combintations here with some high numbers for easy use. They are all already rearranged and all you need to do is replace them with 8FCF in your franchise.dat file. Remember to backup your file first because i have not tested them all, i have just put them together.

100 mil - A0 86 01
500 mil - 20 A1 07
80 mil - 80 38 01
150 mil - F0 49 02
200 mil - 40 0D 03
300 mil - E0 93 04
400 mil - 80 1A 06

i started using a couple of these are working, i just wish now i would import my grate rosters from the roster set i did and and can load, because the cpu seems to hate every trade i want make with it. we'll see what happans

Are you in the first year of your dynasty?
Because it goes up each year (Salary cap) so you have to covert say 55 mill or what ever it is then search for that hex code.

I'm not doubting you, but check again because it goes up every year so it should be more, once you have that figure you're off and racing.

Ok, so you're salary cap is actually 55.14 million , not 53.14 million.


What's the first line say?


Change that to hex, look for it with ultraedit and you're set.

Using what Joeygraham has said, you should get the answer of D75F. Swap them around so you have 5FD7 and search for that. Change it and you're done.
