it doesn't start

i've been playing NBA live 07 for two months now, and started downloading some patches which worked fine, but after downloading PPjoy and following instructions so i can do the backdown move with keyboard, whenever i try to start the game it just turns black end exits to the desktop (though i do think that this has nothing to do with PPjoy). i have started deleting some patches but forgot what files were patches and forgot what files were genuine and I think i have deleted files that were originally in the game (although this is very unlikely), can you guys help me?

Try Re-Installing. The Game saves should still be there.

If reinstalling doesn't work as suggested by Jamie post here if you have installed new drivers for e.g. your graphics card lately or changed any other settings.
