We bring you short Premiership match reports for each of the first week matches played for the 2006/2007 Barclays Premiership... many things happened in the start of the season, with Chelsea and Manchester United winning by the minimum difference, and Liverpool and Charlton starring, by far, the most boring game of the week.

The 06/07 season started with Fulham and Newcastle United playing at Craven Cottage. Michael Owen pounced in the first half injury time to snatch a 1-0 win. Owen also got booked in the 39th minute after a challenge on Luis Boa Morte.

Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder claimed it would have been a 'crime' had his side left Craven Cottage without all three points.

He said: "We played very well and the score doesn't do us justice. I think we should have been out of sight with the situations we had. I thought it would be like last year when we dominated the game for long periods but came away with nothing. We need to be more ruthless in front of goal."

Wigan missed a couple of shots at Fratton Park, but once again it was Portsmouth's own lack of quality in front of goal which proved costly after a goalless draw.

However, Pompey manager Harry Redknapp will be left wondering just how his side failed to see off a Wigan side, with some offseason acquisitions like Sol Campbell or Nwankwo Kanu.

The hosts had the better of the possession in the first half, with visiting goalkeeper Chris Kirkland saving well from Mwaruwari Benjani, but the second half was all Wigan, with all 6 shots in this 45 minutes.

Wigan boss Paul Jewell said: "We just did not have any real door-openers in there today. We battled and worked hard, but it wasn't enough."

Park Ji-Sung was Aston Villa's tormentor yesterday as he scored to help Sir Alex Ferguson's side start the season in a good form, with the only goal of the game.

After a fairly even opening 45 minutes, Manchester United dominated the second period with newcomer Michael Carrick running the show in midfield, Cristiano Ronaldo impressive on the flank and Gabriel Heinze a commanding figure at the defense.

For Villa only Wilfred Bouma and Gabriel Agbonlahor emerged with much credit. Park scored the goal in the 82th minute, thanks to a corner shot by Ronaldo, with an impressive header.

Liverpool manager, Spaniard Rafael Benitez blasted Charlton for their time-wasting tactics as his team were held to a frustrating goalless draw at Anfield Road.

Benitez said: "They were time-wasting tactics from the first minute, their goalkeeper was taking time walking across his area for goal kicks from very early on."

Playing Silva as the DMC, Fabs as one of the MC's, then either Rosicky or Helb as the other, while the other will be one fo the AMC's, then RVP, Henry, Walcott can rotate around the other AMC and Striker. When Beast is back from injury you would play him at Striker and Henry as the left AMC...

It took some time, yes I wanted to post videos at the beginning but I don't know what program to use, I used Fraps in old dynasties but the videos had a really big size (around 15-20MB). Do you know about any good video edition program (free)?

If you take Fraps videos, you can use a program called VirtualDub to compress it if you have an appropriate encoder (chances are you have a few already, WMV is sufficient). There are tutorials in random places on the web on how to compress them with VirtualDub.
