I went to EA's career opportunity page, This is directly from EA Sports. This is what I found, it gives a clear veiw of EA's Values.

Dear EA Sports,

Who is being held accountable for NBA Live 2007? Were they repremanded for this horrid production? Were they written up? Are they still employed by EA Sports?

Everyone who had a hand in this production should lose their jobs. This is one of the worst products I have ever seen, you have turned some of the most loyal consumers away from your Brand. Your arrogance and your unwillingness to acknowledge what you have done, has tarnished your brand name in the eyes of your competitors and your consumers.

In closing, I wish had a joke or I wish I could say something that would have some historical significants, but all I have to say is;

EA Sports, you have accepted mediocrity, you have chosen to ignore the consumer, you have failed to improve, but you have managed to decline with great vigor. I am proud to say. I will not support less than average! I am ashamed to say that I use to buy EA products. The glory days you are trying to hold on too, are gone! The days when you made respectable products has past. Your oil has run out, all the past glory is gone. What have you done for me lately?

Just because you have become mediocore, doesn't mean that I have to accept it. Thank you EA for your best efforts, you have earned my highest level of distrust for any thing that has EA on it.

Who's being held accountable for NBA Live 07..hey EA probably think this game is the biggest break through for them. We hate the game but like they care...they think the game is great..they probably going to give the person in charge of LIVE a raise!

Since all the reviews for Live 07 have been mediocre or average at best, for any platform, and that their market share went down, I'm guessing they know something went wrong somewhere...
So hopefully they'll take their time to develop a bug-free, deeper game next year.
The bright side is peeps in this forum have been more active than ever with patches and fixes (even if it shouldn't have to be this way), so the game certainly ends up being the best Live to date.

Blacksmurf313 sure makes a point.

I will skip this years release and wait until next year when I will carefully read all the reviews before buying NBA Live. It's too bad they can't even fix the PG dominance issue 3 months after the release.

I feel sick to my stomach when I see that they've flushed a nice product down the drain.

I used to feel that no matter what EA would at least release a decent product and if there would be some criticism it would be because those critics were overreacting... But the last couple of years I didn't see much progress but basically just a little tweaking of the previous' years release...

I feel like the last time they really overhauled (AND successfully DELIVERED) NBA Live was when they went from NBA 95 to 96 (virtual stadium )... I am really not that much impressed with what they've done since... although I did enjoy every next release since then. this year will mark the first year that I skip a release...

There are much better games around that deserve my money better...

Those two articles are the truth. Marketing does peek interest, but product developement is Key. To be exact, I believe what I just read. I can see EA marketing department controlling when a game should be released. So the focus of the company has shifted from making great games to making outstanding comercials. Imaging being a programmer; you know youve put some great effort into making a great game, but you need to get some kinks out and the marketing director says, screw the kinks. Package it up and put EA on it and they will buy it.

With that said:

I spent alot of time playing and tweaking the game this weekend. I give EA an E for effort and for trying to be innovative. I've learned that there is a major learning curve for this game. However, all the learning in the world doesn't stop all of the obvious bugs.

Agreed. There are elements of the game that present a learning curve which isn't a bad thing, but other elements just shouldn't be. It's frustrating how some of the new features (such as Assistant Head Coach) offer their own enhancements but at the expense of existing features.

Count me in as someone else who isn't a fan of the release dates becoming earlier and earlier every year. I'd gladly wait another month for the game to come out if it meant extra time for development and QA. And yes, a slightly more up to date roster as well.

I am going to sound double minded as I say this. As I have iterrated to one of my dearest buds, from the NLSC, I am going to go over and beyond to try to make this game enjoyable for me. This series and this site is apart of my culture. That's why it's so hard for me to accept the unacceptable. So I will utilize every download or patch thats available to make the game playable. Thanks to patchmatchers and ect.... who go out of their way to make this game enjoyable.

I am starting a chise today, I'm checking out some rosters right now.
I downloaded the 05 camera, which definetly makes the game more interesting.
I also downloaded the patch for the lights effects, I think.
Ive spent a day to work with the sliders and I think I got sliders that compliments my playing style.

The game maybe worth, spending a little bit more time to get familiar with.

I do apoligize to all the Flees who are apart of this site for me being so negative, but I can't apoligize for stating my opinions about what I feel EA has become.

Out side of the obvious buggy facts about this game, I will try my best to give it 100% chance to be my favorite NBA Game.
