how do you use DBF editing?

how do you use DBF editing to get teh players you want in Dynasty? I was curious because its mentioned alot but i dont know how to use it.

You have to open players.dbf file from your save directory. Then find the player you want to be in your team and in the column 'TEAM' replace the old number with new, which represent your team. Also pay attention to the column 'ROSTERPOS' which mean the player position in your roster.

say u wanted to edit players not in dynasty, but just in the game in general, do u edit the DBF in my documents or the one in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 07\database\Origdb?
