Tuto : Adding Tattoos

Sun Oct 15, 2006 1:34 am

Yep, here we go again, the tuto I posted last year is quite the same this year :D !

GRAPHIC EDITING :

1
extract armbaseXY.fsh and legbaseXY.fsh (where "X" is the skin color and "Y" is the muscle definition) and also armXY_r.fsh and legXY_r.fsh from "/NBA Live 06/sgsm/common/xplrbase.viv" using EA Graphic editor (in this VIV File you will also find the files to edit or create your own goggles and headbands : goggles.fsh and headbands.fsh but headbands make FSHX crash :/, the prog should have to be fixed).

2
Export the BHED from armbaseXY. fsh or legbaseXY.fsh using FshX.

3
Modify your files with paintshop, photshop or any gfx program, and save it in ".BMP" format.

4
Open once again the armbaseXY.fsh or legbaseXY.fsh with FshX and Import the ".BMP" into the file. Save the file and exit.

5
Rename the armbaseXY.fsh or legbaseXY.fsh with a number that does not already exists for example "armbase17.fsh" (this is the number i used for my first patch) and rename also the FSH file that you did not modify with the sme number : "legbase17.fsh" in my example (if you added tats to arms, rename the unchanged legs). When all that is done, place the files i the "sgsm" folder ^^

DBF EDITING :

*MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR SAVE BEFORE EDITING*
1
Launch a DBF Editor (I use CDBF, but it is limited to 30 days and only 10 minutes each time you launch it but it is long enough).

2
Open "players.dbf" located in your save game directory (I.E. : C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My documents\NBA LIVE 06\saves\Rosters)
Find your player, put "F" in the column "DELETED" and write down his "PLAYERID"

Close the file it will save it automatically as there's no "SAVE" option.

3
Open "appearance.dbf" located in your save game directory (I.E. : C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My documents\NBA LIVE 06\saves\Rosters)
find your "PLAYERID".
- in the column "FACEID" : Put "-1"
- in the column "COLOR" : Put the number that you set as X in armbaseXY.fsh (in my example it's "1" cause i renamed it "armbase17.fsh")
- in the column "MUSCLETEXT" : Put the number that you set as Y in armbaseXY.fsh (in my example it's "7" cause i renamed it "armbase17.fsh")

Close the file it will save it automatically as there's no "SAVE" option.

*YOU MUST HAVE BOTH "armbaseXY.fsh" , "legbaseXY.fsh" , "armXY_r.fsh" and "legXY_r.fsh" IN YOUR SGSM FOLDER FOR THE PATCH TO WORK 100% PERFECTLY*

*IF you already created your files last uear, they work perfectly this year, just rename them correctly, adding "base" in the name.

I have not taken pics yet as it is almost the same than last year but I shall add them later.

Launch your game and enjoy ^^

thank you ! ;)

here are the legs with the brace on it, you' ll have to extract the arms corresponding to the color of the skin of the legs as mine are covered with my tats. I'll make an update with all leg colors vithe the brace on either left or right knee or both of them ! maybe this week-end ;)

for these additions it would be better to edit the "trmcgra_arm_tat.fsh" file but I have never done that, the must be some good patchers that can do so ;) %I'm also working on a way to add sleeves and my kneepad as a leg_tat.fsh but as for now I have encountered bugs that i'm working on ;)

Same question I asked on the 06 forums, because I just cant get it to work for whatever reason.....

Do I just drag and drop the .fsh files into the SGSM folder. Or do you actually hafta use EA Graphics Editor to "Import" the files back into the SGSM/Common/etc....?

wich is it. Because honestly Ive tried both ways and I get nothing...

I go to Roster management and edit my player only to see NO tattoos.

Hook it up wit a fix.

Anybody?!

Mon Jan 29, 2007 1:10 pm

1) You asked your question an hour and a half ago. If you're not willing to wait a considerable amount of time before bumping your own post, you need to change your attitude.
2) You put the .fsh files in the SGSM folder.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 9:48 pm

Yea my bad, I honestly walked away from it.....didnt realize how much time had passed and just threw it down......

I put the .fsh files in the SGSM folder with no luck....I tried it from scratch like 3 times now....I might just hafta fool with it.

How do you unlock these things?

Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:57 pm

Scotty this may be the wrong place to ask but, NBA 07 has several good tatoos that are locked and which seemingly cannot be unlocked. I thought this could be done by scoring points but my Charlotte team which I play by simulation in which two teams go head to head and are computer controlled has regularly scored 120 to 130 or more points per game and have a 30 and 0 record which is a lot of points. Still the tatoos I mentioned and most of the shoes are still locked. How many points does one have to score to unlock these things? I've also had some trouble in downloading some of the things like the ABA ball, etc., because the author or authors don't tell us what directory these go in. I've downloaded so many things this should come automatic but, every program is a bit different and I do get confused at times. I would appreciate any help you could give me on this. I'm too young to understand anything much about such things at 60 years old LOL.

GGaius10, once you click on the locked item click on select item at the bottom right, I think, and it will unlock it.
