Yeah, only in a couple of games. I don't really mind them at this point because they've been in the series since at least Live 2003 and don't interfere too badly. Most games have weird engine glitches like that, I wish all the EA haters would direct me to the perfect glitchless sports game  .

Well players freezing for 10 seconds and jumping 15 feet high interfere pretty badly in my opinion.

I'm all for it...

Even as a mod of this community i'm ashamed of the product that EA has put out this year. It's as bad as nba live 2001. I'm forced to be enjoying and playing nba 2k7 when i got a xbox 360 in anticipation for live.

I like the idea of credentials to the names. I was actually going to suggest that. Makes them more than just names.

But, what does "fmr" mean?

20 members of EA (including the COO of EA Canada), IGN, GameSpot, Operation Sports, Game Daily, Game Informer, 1UP, GameSpy, ShackNews and Joystiq have all recieved the letter.

It was the above letter with additions and corrections to the signature list.

Everyone recieved the videos and petition links as shadowgrin suggested.

Awesome work, benji. How do you think those people/sites will respond?

Tue Oct 03, 2006 2:52 pm

All EA cares about is Madden, NBA has clearly taken the back burner

Tue Oct 03, 2006 3:05 pm

EA is in the business of making money. With the exclusive license agreement they made with the NFL it is evident that they were more worried about shareholders and profit than what's best for thier fans or the improvement of thier product (madden)

With that said, all these letters and complaints to EA are all in vain. The only way you guys ( live fans) are going to get thier attention is buy NOT BUYING THIER PRODUCTS. You think live sucks? DON'T buy it then.

It is bad business in EA's eyes to change or improve the game if its going to continue to sell regardless if its a better game than before or not. EA knows, and i've seen this happen, that as soon as EA fans stop buying thier product then EA will have the incentive of wanting to make the product better, because THEY HAVE TO. They DON"T have to do SH*T if they are selling games, and you can blame yourself for buying into EA's Crap.

2K HAs to put out a good game in order for them to be competitive against EA, because EA has a huge following of loyal fans who trust the name over the quality of the product.

Keep telling yourselves "EA will make it better next year" and keep getting thier products, you don't deserve to play great titles like nfl 2k5 and nba 2k7 (xbox360)

Just remember i told you so when same time next year we will have these same complaints AGAIN, why? Because you spoke with your mouth instead of with your money.

What makes you think we are going to buy NBA Live 08? NBA Live 06 didn't have as much bug as 07. If we, the community, knew 07 has this many bugs, we wouldn't even buy the damn game in the first place.

And make note, if there is not going to be a fix for NBA Live 07, you can bet your ass no one going to buy NBA Live 08.

This clearly depends on how you look at it. EA needs to make money, and with NBA2K series breathing down their neck constantly for the last few years, they truly can't afford something like Live 08 flopping as well. In order for anyone to take the Live series seriously, they'll have to make improvements that make the game fun to play and free of major errors and bugs. Another thing, Live 07 is currently garbage, can Live 08 be any worse...(Don't answer that)

You give me hope. Could anyone please tell me the email everybody is sending their complaints in to?

Great (Y) now let's wait for possible results.

Live 2001 was my first Live game (on the PS1). That was great, except for that pstats code or whatever. But that was a good intro to Live in the "modern" era.

just out of interest, EA would know how many games they are selling, but would they have any way of knowing how many games are returned. for example, would video game retailers have a way of telling them?

I'll sign whatever, I'm not buying this piece of shit and I have no intention of playing it either so I'm just going to listen to the majority and avoid it completely.

How about doing the myspace thing? Anyone gotten to it?

I have uploaded the letter, so there is URL to directly get it. I may send the URL along to the media as it might be easier for them to just link to it.

Normally.....this is a fine comment. But you've been registered for 12 days, and you seem to be applauding the progress of people who've been in the community for around 10 years. Sounds strange to me.

And becoming, hmmm... I'll just leave that there.

Great job everyone. I truly hope some of those sites takes a chance with this.

I've been around on this board since 04-05. Reason why I didnt post here was because there wasn't as a big of a problem with the game.

And the reason why I started posting until now is because NBA Live 07 is the biggest dissapointment of all EA Sports game.

Wed Oct 04, 2006 8:46 am

And only now you figured out how big of a role Ben plays in the community? Totally weird, but that's also alright.

I'm sure ben appreciates your enthusiasm for his work but if you read the letter you will see that he has been here longer than most of us as everyone before me said...he's not a n00b :)
