Supreme Rosters v1.0:
This is the feedback/release thread. Please post here your issues with the current roster, and I will do my best to reply and/or address said issues to the best of my ability.

The way I'm working the ratings is through a system of formulas that I've been working on in the weeks leading up to the NBA Live 07 release. I've tested the system on about 40 players, and I must say I'm thrilled with it thus far. There may be some minor tweaking, but I've essentially got my finished product as far as my rating formulas and scales go. The roster will also feature Supreme Visual Accuracy which includes dozens of custom tatoo/pad/band integrated patches, as well as a Supreme Shoe Patch which will have every NBA player plus wearing their proper accurate shoe. There are also other ways in which this roster set will integrate with many of the other Supreme Update Mod releases. Stay tuned!

With regard to the feedback:

Things I WILL DO:
- Listen to feedback regarding ratings, salaries, etc.
- Listen to feedback regarding missing players from the game
- **Listen to feedback especially regarding Strength, Speed, and Quickness**

Things I WILL NOT DO:
- Increase Ratings with requests like "He's so good! He NEEDS TO HAVE 99 DUNK RATING!!!"
- Increase Ratings for the sake of giving a player FSS Abilities unless it's less than a 2-3 point jump in one area; and even then, I reserve the right to use my own judgement.
- Increase Ratings because you feel a player's Overall is too low. I will only address specific rating adjustment requests; again, I reserve the right to exercise my better judgement.

What I currently NEED (10/16/06):
- Stats for foreign rookies such as Walter Herrmann, etc. in order to rate them properly. Anybody who can provide this info or links to this info would be greatly appreciated. The more data you can provide, the more accurately these players will be rated. I'm looking for everything from on the court stats to vertical jump to speed, etc.

I look forward to releasing this roster set and feel it is going to be incredibly accurate, and go very well with the rest of the NBA Live 07 Supreme Update Mod.

Hope this is not out of context, but could you tell us a bit more about these formulas and how the ratings will be calculated?
Apologies if it's already been discussed before...

Without getting too deep into it (only because I just don't care to), I'll be using combinations of stats such as eFG% from in the Paint (minus dunks), from Jumpers (both of these are kept both during normal play and in the clutch), PER, AST-r, per 40 stats, Off./Def. Reb. %, and other forms of Hollinger and/or other advanced statistics.

Some ratings are calculated by formulas in which I've created to convert the stats into a 0-99 scale (for example), and others I've created sliding scales for.

It takes me 6-7 minutes just to do one player.

Hope that covers enough about what you were asking.

awarenesses are really weird for many players, specially for stars
some players get ratings based on past years, not the last one
how can lakers and cavaliers have 4th overall?

bigh0rt i have one sugestion; edit james white jumping (95-99) speed (85) and dunking (99). This is a joke that EA give White 80 dunk rating  .
Also Josh Smith and Gerald Wallace block abilities need bost. I hink 85-90 will be a great for Smoove and for gerald great will be something like 80.
Rudy Gay block ability are ridiclous, should be a 60-70...
And one big tip, the guys that need overhaul in jump, speed and dunk ratings are
David Noel, James White, Travis Outlaw, Nate Robinson (his clutch should be higher - 70-75), Rudy Gay, Tony Allen, Gerald Green.
Dwight Howard defensive rebounding is low should be atleast 90, maybe higher - 95-98.

Respect for you and for other guys supporting Supreme Update Mod (Y) .

He's just amazing, I've seen him doing windmills, between the leggs, and superflies dunks from the free throw line with ease...

How much do we have to pay to jump like him for one day ? :D

I have no timetable at this point. Getting v1.0 up and running is the hardest part, so I'm not going to press myself into setting a date. Right now everything is running smoothly, I'm working on getting the missing players into the game and rated properly, and getting cyberfaces for them, etc.

Luckily we're still a ways off from the season, so I'm not feeling any pressure or under the gun, etc.

Find me his vertical in inches, and I'll rate him accordingly.

When he was at Florida, I saw them play AT the University of New Hampshire (SEC playing America East AT the America East school NEVER happens, biggest sporting event of the year in the state). James White can fly, trust me. There have to be some Youtube videos of him, he's just absurd.

EDIT: I rest my case.

EDIT 2: Sick.

herrman is similar to nocioni with some differences.

-nocioni is regarded as one of the best defenders in international basketball, hermann is a pretty average defender.

-hermman is a tad faster and athletic, better dribbler.

-both play as inside/out swingmen who post up or set up to shoot the 3 but neither is a great ballhandler/slasher.

average stats from european basketball are somewhat misleading since the scores are lower and the games go for 40 minutes (8 mins less).

I think Wade's dunk at a 87 is a bit low. 92 sounds perfect.
Wade's block also is low. Did EA miss his BPG in Season AND especially in the crunch time in the playoffs? In playoffs hes a solid 1.5bpg SG! Thats a rare talent.

I think Shaq's FG is a BIT too low. It is like a 60 something. I know most of his highest FG% in league is dunking. But still, Shaq has a decent shot in the paint. I'd say a 70-75 FG rating would be good, remember it WAS a 88 in Live 06.

I also think Rip Hamilton's shooting ratings are horribly off. He is alot better 3pt shooter then Prince, and Rip needs a higher FG rating because of the fact he is a very good lay-up guy in close action in the paint.

Billups, shot for amazing %'s last year and you cant say he doesnt take plenty of shots after all he is named "Mr. Big Shot" I'd say his 3pt should be a 85 and FG a 83. He is in my opinion among the best shooting PG's.

I think Marion's SS abilities as "STAR" is total BS! He is just as good as any other SF/PF in the NBA,if not Top 3.

I hope you can take my reccomendations into consideration. And if you want some more input from me. my AIM s/n is : djmakaveli067

IIRC according to DraftExpress, the raptors tried to measure his vert with the vertical stick.. turns out he jumped higher then the max that was measurable with the stick....

Jorge Garbajosa -forward of Toronto Raptors- and Sergio Rodriguez -point guard, 27th first round draft pick by the Suns and then traded to Portland Trail Blazers- are missing in the game. I say this so that you can put them in the patch;

Jorge Garbajosa: http://www.unicajabaloncesto.com/jugado ... bajosa.php and also www.raptors.com

Sergio Rodriguez:
sorry, I only found this: 9,7 points, 2,4 rebounds and 5,0 assists per game in the ACB 2005/2006 (he plays like Jason Williams, giving spectacular assists. Albeit he doesn't shoot many three pointers, he can score from outside. On the other hand, his biggest weakness is defense and physical strength...)- maybe there's something in www.blazers.com

The number on their T-shirts are 15 (for Garbajosa) and 11 (for Sergio).

Should you need any kind of help with them or other european players, please e-mail me to hotmail and I'll try to assist as much as possible.

Finally, I suggest that Jose Calderon's -of the Raptors- dunking ability (50) should be lower. He can jump really high and dunk strongly, but only during the warming up and not in the game (I know, it may sound weird, but he does prefer to fingeroll even in non-defended transitions)... a 10 or 20 is quite enough for him, but 50... that's TOO much.

Thanks!
I'm sure the patch will be much better than ea's data
