How to make SuperStar moves with keyboard?

Postby markiz on Fri Sep 29, 2006 7:39 pm

In 2006, I've used to hold a superstar (or how it's called) button and press shoot, pass, dunk.. buttons.
And player prefomed various super star moves.

Now it doesn't work! Why?

Instead of the face buttons, you use the right analog stick.
Have a look here: http://blogs.ign.com/NBALive_07/2006/09/06/30205/

It is a bit diffrent this year, all you have to do is press the suitable button for the suitable FreeStyle Move.
For example, if you use the Playmaker Freestyle, press the Freestyle trigger and pass, pressing verious arrows will make verious results.
For the Highflyer, use the dunk, for the Scorer you can use either lay-up or shot, and etc..

Man, youre great! Everything works fine. Now the only problems to solve are how to change FSS types on the fly and how to do self-alleyoop with t-mac :) Thanks again!!

Look to your manual or in-game controller settings... there is a "TURBO" button.

Yeah i know.. but I'm using the PPJOY program.. so that my keyboard can mimic the analog controls of the controller. I don't know if you're familiar with it or not... but i used it for Live06 and it worked.

Do you use the keyboard to play? or anyone else for that matter that is able to pull of the FSS moves and have turbo?

thanks for the replies!

Jesed read what A0 wrote down here.

haha lol.. alright cool.. lemme know if you figure out the turbo thing.

by the way... i saw at this site that there's a lot more FSS moves than we think. The ones you were doing are randomized... with the "analog" buttons using PPJOY.. we can pull off like 12 different moves. here check out the site... it's for an analog controller but we can mimic it with the keyboard.

http://blogs.ign.com/NBALive_07/2006/09/06/

anyway.. i hope you find the turbo button.

Jesed, its ok, the Turbo button is working nicely. If You used this template

Up = Up (Keyboard: up)
Down = Down (Keyboard: down)
Left = Left (Keyboard: left)
Right = Right (Keyboard: right)
Z Axis - = Freestyle move (Keyboard: X)
Z Axis + = Freestyle move (Keyboard: C)
Z Rotation - = Freestyle Crossover/Spinmove (Keyboard: F)
Z Rotation + = Backdown (Keyboard: Y)
Button 1 = seems to be useless
Button 2 = Rebound (Keyboard: E)
Button 3 = Turbo (Keyboard: Spacebar)
Button 4 = Timeout/intentional foul (Keyboard: Q)
Button 5 = Dunk (Keyboard: W)
Button 6 = Pass (Keyboard: S)
Button 7 = Shot (Keyboard: D)
Button 8 = Direct pass (Keyboard: Left Ctrl)
Button 9 = Alley Oop (Keyboard: A)
Button 10 = Superstartrigger (Keyboard: Left Shift)
Button 11 = Off the ball (Keyboard: R)
Button 12 = Pause (Keyboard: ESC)
Button 13 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 1)
Button 14 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 2)
Button 15 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 3)
Button 16 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 4)

so the Turbo is executed when you press E (button 2). Works for me.

True is, I thought it would be a better thing. You know, youve got only TWO directions - up and down (for analog..). So where's lef and right? Good idea, but I think Ill stay with my four arrows :) Thanks for help anyway!

Yeah, know this site. But tell me, how do you want to pull this Level 2 and level 3 moves? This quarter circles? Impossible on keyboard :(

There are no 2 freestyle moves for keyboard!!!
Only 4 default Spin/Cross + arrows that you can't change
