The jab button is the spin move button. It is used for freestyle moves but on a keyboard they are very limited.

When the ball is passed to a player, hold jab and press a direction on the arrows. This is your freestyle on the keyboard.

If you read any of the pre release interviews--you would've known that you needed a control with analog sticks and that playing with a keyboard and a gamepad without analog sticks would be limited.

It's not EA's fault you still wanna use a keyboard, atleast you can still play the game.

hmm it's still unfair...

i mean, getting a better comp to play the game...well, that's ok, cause you will use the better comp for all your other stuff...but the only game i'd use a gamepad would be this one...they should have added keyboard support for freestyle moves.

You can do this move with the keyboard fairly easy. I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll just go do it and come back with some info.

So far using the keyboard, it can only be done when your player is in front of the ring (From anywhere - close, 3pt, etc). From what I've read, it can't be done from the wing but you can try this out.

To do it, your player must be still. Pass the ball to him, hold jab and press the backwards arrow or down.

This is the step back.

I think I figured it out... when holding the ball (dribbling) hold the crossover button then press forward key... this will do the step back... and it's your turn to make that shot...that's what we call "step back shot" ala Strothers!
