:spam: alert

well my name is Jon Smith (no shit, really it is) and in highschool everyone thought I looked like Yao Ming :wall:

quick flashback: I was at a basketball camp and we were talking about the upcoming 2002 draft and people in it. After some of our scrimages a 6th grader came up to me and said that I look like Yao Ming....my friends heard it, and that was that. :?

So for 2 years I was known as Yao Ming basically :eh:; senior year one of my genious friends said "wait I got an idea, Jon Smith + Yao Ming = Jao Sming":new: and it just caught on.

I was planning on ditching the nickname when I went to Vermont for college (N) , but sure enough in my first week there, just playing a pickup game, someone started calling me Yao again  So I saved them the trouble and told them about JaoSming.

And there my friends is how I got the nickname JaoSming.

and if you didnt read the Milestone thread thing. A while back Andrew required a screenname to browse this forum with admin approval to join, so I signed up as JaoSming (as seen in the members list) but soon after I joined I guess (cant really remember) he yanked the whole admin approval thing and I never signed in again....well I forgot that password and the e-mail I set it up in is now dead. so JaoSming is lost and I took the name JaoSming11 man, I guess I really am that bored

Jon Smith.

See, your name is really really simple. You can put it out over the internet because theres about 3468979847976986347698 John/Jon Smith's!

I have a very "exclusive" name, so I can't just say "HEY MY NAME IS MICHAEL (last name)".

Aight you guys, thank you for the support and responces for my 06 patches.

I've decided that it's not worth making another patch for 06 this soon to 07. However this upcoming patch will be released for 07 and will be better than I planned

Thanks again everyone for making my first contributing year here a great one!

they are the lights from the urban court, i just moved the light posts themselves.

As of now the lights can not be moved.

When I started patching here I used to take count of how many downloads I had total for all my courts.

Well today I checked my rapidshare count for the first time all summer and I am just blown away....

10,000+ downloads you guys....whew thank you. I know this doesn't touch Andrews Roster update for the year (i think over 300,000) or many other patches that are featured in the NLSC download section, but I am really proud and thankful for that much support. wow haha

BTW only 6 of my rapidshare links have gone dead -

XBOX and Replay Box Patch
My very first EBO court (the beta for Under Armour)
v1.0 Under Armour
Dunk School with props
my Teams.dbf (kinda surprised people dont like that one)
and my Rec Center update with the fence

The Following have amounted more than 1000 downloads (according to rapidshare the NLSC counter has some of these at 2000+)

Sound FX Update
Tandy
Downtown
and Dunk Contest Courts

All I can say is thanks again and get ready for 07 cause Im planning on releasing stuff on the first day I get it.

oh and thanks again to Andrew for allowing me to get JaoSming back :applaud:

that thing you quoted just updates textures in the game for NBA Courts. It doesnt add street courts.

oh ok... the links on the main site to your outdoor courts are expired... would you be able to re-up them? the skyscraper court and the 5 on 5 practice courts... or, just any outdoor courts.

i know this threads for 06 stuff, but man..downloading too many patches for 05, err...ok i guess in general not just 05, can be confusing in a way. plus, in the end, you got too many conflicting patches that things start to look jacked up :|
i guess ill just download what i actually need and not what i want, maybe, and that way itll be somewhat less conflicted. actually, cause 05 is pretty good already and i dont think i need that many new updates

there isnt any conflicting issues here man

I released a bunch of courts for 06 and the problem was they replaced team courts. So that means if you ever wanted to play with the all-star 90s team at home, they'd play at my rooftop court for example.

At the end of the year last year I compiled all of my courts into 1 release (as stated in my previous post) wherein said release the courts do not replace any courts, they add courts to the game.

Now for 2005 rsox converted the street mod for 06 so if you wanna play on these courts you might wanna get the converted versions from him.
Opinions are my own.

For street 2005, it can be found here:
http://www.nbaliveforums.com/sutra636801.php#636801

I heard thought that a few teams crash when the loading a game. If you want to look into that JaoSming then that would be cool.
