For NBA Live, There really is no difference. The engine looks the game. . .Current gen looks like it plays better now (compared to next gen), cause I guess EA has mastered what they can do on current gen. I think EA should redo their models and make em a bit bigger for next gen. Try to do something more innovative. They re-wrote the AI and stuff, but the game still looks the same

Yea if anything, the major difference in graphics is the player models and the player movement and momentum. No more amazing explosive first steps out of every crossover with a centre. That's like the exact opposite of what I was expecting to see.

Of course current gen plays better (that's what I'm seeing so far). Look at the dunks on current gen compared to next gen. They are more fluid. It could be the framerate problem with next gen, but it's what they released so far. If EA had that footplanting feature on current gen, there would be no need to play next gen, unless you want stunning graphics along with it. Current gen has always played fine for me, RIGHT NOW, EA doesn't make me want the next gen version of this game. And that's my honest opinion. hate it or love it!!

If 2k had the footplanting feature and stopped all that sliding they have, they would get a perfect rating cause the game already feels so REAL when you play it. I mean the superstar shots just look amazing, did you see lebron's and Iverson shot? So sick!!

I ain't trying to compare the two, just stating something that I think needs to be said lol

If you do compare them, there is no doubt 2k is better right now on both current and next gen.

But I think Live has the potential to be the better game. So I keep buying it every year only to be disappointed. I think, if they get it right one day, it could be almost perfect.

As for current vs next gen, if its anything like madden, they'll both have their advantages. I bought NCAA for the 360 and Madden for the pc. The new physics are amazing on the 360. A lot of the time a play will look so real I'll watch it in replay over and over. And the hits look like they actually hurt. In the current gen madden it isn't like that. But since its the same game, there's alot more polish to it.

EA is basically remaking the games instead of porting. In the future it will pay off, but for now, they lack polish. Stuff like the jump shots just don't look correct, and there's no ball physics. I'm going to get 2k for the 360 and Live for the pc until maybe next year.

I am struggling with this now.......... I am used to NBA LIVE 06 for Current Gen....... so I might get the current gen 07 once again... But i played Next Gen 2k6 and it was way better than next gen live 06..... So if i do upgrade and buy a 360 ill probobly get the 2k7... But as of now i think i will get Live 07 for Current Gen..... These reviews and posts are making me think the gameplay is better on current and no reason to really buy a new system unless im gunna transfer to 2K7
