Doesn't sound good for Live. Looks like I will be picking up 2K at release this year instead of Live.

Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:32 am

Yeah, the gameplay seems to be still shit. . .There's no excuse for this!! They should use a different models, more realistic one

Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:33 am

lol, i cant believe EA is doing this crap I hope they delay it or something. This article did not want me to dish out 60 bucks. I guess im gettin Nba 2k7 for x360 this year.

Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:35 am

Well for me. . I don't really need to read the info in the article, the gameplay speaks for itself why you shouldn't buy this game

Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:36 am

I hope the Toronto Raptors look awesome in NBA 2k7 thats the only team i care about

Yet another "Next Gen" preview. How about a PC article.....please??

Fri Sep 01, 2006 11:44 am

I doubt we'll see a PC specific preview. I'll hopefully be getting my copy a little earlier than the release so I'll be sure to share a review and impressions.

I honestly think EA should delay the game if they cant get it done by the 26th. EA dont need to dissapoint their fans another year in a row, it will really hurt them and people will really start to trust 2ksports more. They also need to run their games at 60fps, 30fps is not going to get it after seeing how smooth the NBA 2k series run at 60fps.

Fri Sep 01, 2006 12:03 pm

I agree Harlem. When the 07 games come out that is one of my favorite times of the year. I will be getting 2K7 right off the bat but I plan on getting Live in late Nov- early Dec. So I wouldn't be mad if they pushed the next-gen version back a month or so.

Fri Sep 01, 2006 12:26 pm

^^ they should push it back. . I'm definately pickin up 2k7, and i'm not even a 2k fan. . I just think they are better at the moment

Your absolutely right. The framerate should be better, especially on 360!! Right now, it also looks as if I'm getting 2K7 for 360, but I do like some of the new features Live came out with so I'll see. But right now its 2K7!

it's sad i think i'll still get it

EA still emphasizes its debatable FSS, and the “playless” ESPN integration. From its meaningless blog and preview (all says the same old shit we have already knew), there is really nothing exciting.

I know X-factor, team chemistry, blablabla…might be fun, but none of them related to the most important thing for a sport game--- Gameplay.

06 was a good game to play, but we are expecting much more than this. From all the videos and previews EA has showed us, 07 is obviously not the answer. I hope some new currant gen videos could change this image.

This is the first year that I will not blindly purchase this game. It sounds horrible.

If they don't push this release back, I'm definitely not buying it. If they can't iron out these basic problems in 11 months, why would it drastically improve in a few weeks? If they don't push this release back, I just know its gonna be garbage. Live is not hurting for sales, so it wouldn't hurt to focus on the basics and mechanics of gameplay for once.

It looks more and more like 2k will be getting my money, sad to say.

You shouldn't be hearing things like this within a month of the game's release...

"The animations don't appear very lifelike and some of the jump shots look a bit silly, if not completely fake. Players also have the uncanny ability to dunk through the backboard. Visually, the framerate is still a big problem and we can't understand why next-gen titles aren't running at 30, if not 60 frames per second. The ball physics on the rim are especially unrealistic and need a lot of work.

EA still has a few weeks left to work on NBA Live 07 and will need every second to iron out the framerate issues and gameplay issues we've seen. Still, it is a nice improvement over NBA Live 06 with All-Star Weekend, Freestyle Superstar and a deep dynasty mode. Still, that's not saying much."

And THIS is what they call NEXT GEN?

I can predict you'll be a nice addition to the forum "bitch".

Sat Sep 02, 2006 10:49 pm

i love this threads with a bunch of people with a very low post count just bashing on live and saying how 2k will be better. you would think these fools would have something better to do than try and convince people that thier game of choice is the right one.

Sun Sep 03, 2006 8:14 am

Post count aside, I think it's just silly in general. There are some people who literally, in EVERY freaking Live 07 preview post say something to the effect of the player models suck, the gameplay sucks, and they'll be getting 2K instead... I mean, ok, you've said it once... congratulations. Go find their forums and tell them what a great product they put out, but beyond that... it's just trolling. If they don't want to be part of the solution (i.e. improving Live in some capacity, be it patching or simply providing quality advice, etc.) then just ban them and let them go troll elsewhere, is what I say. (Y)

What happened to the sweat? They didnt put it in?

Sun Sep 03, 2006 8:25 am

I tihnk the 360 version should be released at the same time the PS3 version is released. that should allow them to work on it more and release both next gen games at once.

Sun Sep 03, 2006 9:10 am

We still haven't seen any real footage of NBA Live at the 90% completion IGN is preaching.

I've been leaning towards 2k7 for the first time in my life, but I can't treat NBA Live wrong. I'm going to give it a fair chance all the way up to release. I would like to stick with the series because I always have.

Once we see some videos of both games at the same completion %, we can make our judgments. Until then, the debate is silly.

EA is kinda shooting themselves in the foot though by not having IGN do some of those Plays of the Day like they do with 2k7. Those really get people pumped up!

they put it in, but, its just fatigue based now, so you wont see players sweating early in the 1st quarter

How come in one of the screenshots Nash is bald? Is he actually bald now, or did they just change his hair style. And i think he's bald in a vid i saw too :|

and it looks like Iguodala is doing the 'rock the cradle' in a match  that's a bit unrealistic. I bet it's a FSS move
