I'll never understand the obsession with overall ratings that people have. It's just a formulat that is calculated based on individual ratings. As long as you feel all the individual ratings are accurate, who cares what the overall is?

^exactly
- Lateral quickness.
- Star treatment (ammount of fouls he can draw) .
- And 1 finishing (finishing a shot after being fouled.
that looks nice. Star treatment will add more realism & frustration to the game.
And 1 finishing is a nice touch too.

On RealGM, somebody posted (not 100% accurate) Bargnani to be 72, Garbajosa to be 72, TJ Ford to be 74, and Chris Bosh to be 86:

The 22nd pick will never be that high or even close to that high.
- ur a fool, marcus Williams fell from the loterry to the 22nd pick.. he was a steal... even if he may be 79 and thats sorta overrated... hes not as bad as u make him out to be...

I prolly sound like a retard asking this but what exactly is lateral quickness?
it is quickness of a person side-to-side, (instead of sprinting ahead or behind) so they face their entire body toward you instead of turning their body to the side when you try and drive around them. I hope that's clear.
wow that's really good what ı understand is that this rating is about defensive stance which will help about making some good d then, great.

A steal, becuase nobody else wanted to pick him? It's not like he was Jameer Nelson and leading his team in college and fell to the 20's. He has a 13% body fat which is very high for an NBA player, supposedly very out of shape and fat. The average body fat for an American is 15%-20%. Keep in mind that we're talking about an athlete.

Blah blah, Marcus Williams was one of the best players in the summer leagues and definately the best passer. But I wait for Andrew's answer... are there any new ratings added? That would be really cool, I'm tired of the same ratings every year...

Yes, there's some additional ratings.
Bruce's review has some good info on the new categories.
