well idk if anyone watched espn yesterday... its not that helpful but they interviewed rudy gay during the rookie photoshoot and he said his rating was a 70 and that marcus williams' was a 79....

And in another video it showed the Bulls starting lineups and their ratings. I remember Ben Wallace's was 79 ovrl, and the only player above 80 was kirk Hinrich at 82 ovrl.

Marcus Williams is not a 79!! Do some research before you post stuff like this.
The 22nd pick will never be that high or even close to that high.

LOL

Shaq and Paul Pierce are both 89 overall.

LeBron and KG are both 93's. It was in the Gamespt Official Movie 3 when they were doing fantasy draft.

Wow seems like ratings are more down this year than in previous years. I think they want a more authentic feel to the game, and not just have LeBron or KG dominate every aspect of the game.
Im glad EA did this

well i think part of this has something to do with there now being 5 main rating catogories like INSIDE/OUTSIDE/DEFENCE/TEAMWORK/ATHLETISCM for each player. As well as these five main catogories there are now sub catogories of ratings, a total of 70 ratings are now available. Some of these new rating are as follows:
- Lateral quickness.
- Star treatment (ammount of fouls he can draw) .
- And 1 finishing (finishing a shot after being fouled.

Okay, I have no idea if what tempo wrote are some of the new ratings - but I do agree that if the amount of ratings really have tripled (as I read/heard somewhere over at IGN) then it's only natural that an increase in the number of ratings would bring players' overall ratings down depending on their skill sets - the drop-off in Big Ben's overall rating could perhaps reflect some new offensive ratings? But this is just soeculation as Andrew wasn't able to mention any of the new ratings when I asked him

Are we sure that the # of ratings have increased across the board, or is this going to be a next gen exclusive??
Thu Aug 17, 2006 2:12 am
Well, this is another thing I'm not sure about. One thing is clear though, some ratings would have had to be added. Because first there's the chemistry thing which would have to be based on some basic ratings in order to work and second with this new x-factor thingie they'd have to add a clutch rating, otherwise the player chosen as x-factor would be too random (the reintroduction of the clutch rating has also been confirmed by a couple of sources, including Andrew)

God I hope there's 70+ ratings. I heard somewhere they actually have lateral quickness now.
Thu Aug 17, 2006 3:40 am
Hmm i think i saw Amare Stoudemire as an 81 overall. What the hell Kirilenko is a 90 overall. I think D-Wade is a 90 too. Marion is an 89.
Ratings were up in Live 06 but its good that they have been lowered a bit.

I prolly sound like a retard asking this but what exactly is lateral quickness?

it is quickness of a person side-to-side, (instead of sprinting ahead or behind) so they face their entire body toward you instead of turning their body to the side when you try and drive around them. I hope that's clear.

Thu Aug 17, 2006 4:10 am
I dont have a problem with it. As long as you just heard it.......no problem

Thats generous giving Shaq an 89, i follow the Heat more than any other team but he is an 84 on my rosters.
Fri Aug 18, 2006 2:34 am
well they will probably have newer ratings when the game actually comes out.
