I'm fairly certain, they will have all the new players acquired by every team.

The teams must have picked up the players after the game was released. So I guess we have to depend on the roster updates.

the rosters are usually finalized about half a month to a month before the regular season started for live, and some players who have not finalized rosters by them wouldnt make it onto the roster.

on the ps2 version they updated those three players

even though ea starts off with missing players every year they still have all of the teams full rosters updated by the end of the regular season whether the missing player is trash or not

i wish theyd just do it weekly or at least monthly.

Maybe there's more than 60 players in the draft. Which aren't real. Which means that, ah, once again EA makes pisspoor on a new feature.

Or maybe ea is giving you a cance to draft players that you think should have been drafted......why must people always try to turn ea features into bad....who the hell would think that ea would make it able to draft more than 60 players in one draft??? (that sentence probably didnt make sense, but neither did the thought)

i don't think the coding would be that difficult, it's basica logic. If A = B and B = C then A = C and the trade can go through. same logic with 4 way trades and on. If A = B and B = C and C = D then A and B = C and D etc.

They might also intend to include some fake players since it seems unlikely they'd be able to include draftees who haven't signed by the cutoff, since historically they haven't been able to do that.

well don't forget that Boston has signed Allan Ray & Kevin Pittsnogle and Miami has signed a few undrafted rookies. I hope they add them in...

and jrose why are you worried about the rosters now?? all I have to say is go to sixers.com and click on "roster"

Becuase EA can't (or haven't) been able to add players that haven't been on a roster. But let me give you an example, just because.

Sya that the C's cut Ray and Pittsnoogle before the roster cutoff. That means that they won't be in the re-draft in the game. Now what if you think that they really should have been drafted. But now you can't. So in reality you wont get a re-do of the draft all done and proper. Instead you get a chance to place a few players on teams they aren't in real life. Sound familiar? That's the same feature as the fantasy draft we've had for years, only less inclusive.

Or what if Vladimir Veremeenko doesn't sign with the Wiz, that means another place in the real draft that has to be filled with a made up player (that will no doubt look like a neanderthal).

See what I mean? The reason EA gets burned for their additions is because it's usually a pretty idiotic addition that promises a lot but fails in the end.

judging by that screenshot Shawn Williams may be the highest rated player then at C/PF? Ofcourse it depends on he scouting, but if it's a mock draft then i think the CPU just picks the highest rated guy at the position that they need.

Just hope they get some ratings right, but it's all good witht he edit button a lot can be solved hehe

Why are we blaming EA for a licensing rights issue?, this is so obviously Steve Kerr's fault.

Come on man... Get with the program... EA has only and I stress ONLY has rights to the players that are SIGNED in the NBA!!! Thus if a player has not signed with a team at the "roster cut off" date, EA does NOT have the RIGHTS to use the players likeness or name in the game!!! Someone would take them to court for that and we wouldn't get another Live ever if they did that...

And this is the reason why there always are people missing from teams that were signed late or went undrafted... And with the earlier release date for the game, this will become even more of an issue as they have to set the roster cut-off date earlier and thus missing on some of the potential deals... For example, expect Al Harrington to be found on the Atlanta roster when the game ships... I assure you, he won't be when the season really begins.

The Rosters will be wrong... They have always been and they will always be... It's just the nature of the beast! They can't finalize the roster the day the game ships and even then there will be some mistakes... It taks about a month to copy up the game so we can all enjoy it.

Yeah, its obviously Steve Kerr's fault...

I'm pretty sure OFS was being sarcastic (and referring to a thread in the 06 section).
