Finally made this new Banner, it took me so long, I spent like an hour on the text, but still no results.

Im looking at it again, and I think I killed it with the text :(.

How long really is "so long"? That doesn't even look time consuming. :?

Like 2 Half and Hour Days. This one took me about 40 minutes.

40 minutes, but it looks so much better. I say scrap the 'Philly' text on the right and your stupid pixel text at the bottom and it's actually...good. Just get some mroe contrast going. And try using a photo filter adjustment layer to give Andre a little more blue. Probably one of the "cooling" pre-sets at about 20%.

That banner though...'the M in media'? That is the worst tagline I've ever heard. And you let the background very blue, while bringing out the reds in the players. Bad contrast.

The cut on Iguodala was good, but there isnt much contrast or anything to the sig. It's pretty one dimensional.

Background is very nice, and the Andre Iguodala text works good too. But the actual AI pic, Philly text, and your name text = (N) .

I don't really like the text, even though it took a while.

Still looks like a gamerenders background. It's also very repetitive too.

I see you found your new favorite font too. :( Still alot of empty space in it.

That's actually a pretty good sig man, just a couple tips.
- Scrap the small white text in the right corner.
- Apply some effects to the picture, maybe a simple one like Duplicate, Overlay/Screen will do (and put the Kobe layer above the border-layer).
- Make a Hue/Saturation layer (on the pic only) at like 50% opacity with the same yellow-ish color (so "Colorize" on).
- Give the big stripes/boxes in the background some opacity differences.

Sounds like a lot of changes, like I'm looking real hard to find something wrong in there, but I'm not cause this sig is pretty good and the changes I suggested are done quickly.

Thanks CK, I did most of the stuff for V2, it was a request so I couldn't scrap the name, I tried changing it to black, so I could try to blend it a little more:

Your sigs seem to lack depth in my opinion. And it seems you re-use the same designs over and over. Like the Josh Smith one has a similar background to the Kobe and Iguodala one, not to mention the same text.

I know, i believe that was said ages ago by myself and several others....

Just make a ton of layers for your background. Ten layers of brushes is not uncommon for me in my sigs. Just find a bunch of brushes you like and mix them together till you get a nice result. And try not to make them so white, it bleaches out the skin tones of the players.

Gettin better, the text is actually tolerable. It would help if you used a pic/cut that hadn't already been used 148,803,023 times.

agreed. i actually enjoy the text, and the effect it has, casue it actually works with the background, but i think a more action picture would be better, it seems a bit plain.
