By clicking the right analog stick for a quick change, and then using a trigger or face button, a multitude of hoopster actions can occur.

damn, looks like its goodbye to the off the backboard pass in the allstar game
Opinions are my own.

what, after they last week announced that they are looking to make the most arcadish, un-sim-like game possible?

This is focusing more on the Xbox 360 though, the other article was more on current gen. That's the only thing I can think of to make it sound reasonable.

of course, the gameplay will be much more simulation-based on next gen, as they plan to use a completely different engine

Sweet, i'll take that. I was planning on getting it for PC, but PS2 is still fine. Just a bit more expensive.

Koberulz, forgive my ignorance but when was it once mentioned that they planned on making this the most arcadish game in all of EA Sports history? I believe what was mentioned was that EA planned on moving the game into a direction that was closer to simulation then offered in previous Live titles while still keeping a fun game.

Koberulz is becoming the biggest Live hater since someone called him one while he disagreed..

They didn't say they were going to make the most arcadish game ever, that's what he made of it.

Oh and by the way: the next-gen versions uses different engines than the current ones..

yeah, as everyone else is pointing out, they didn't say they are going to make the most arcadish game.

still it IS a shame to learn that for them a game can be boring for beeing too sim-like. that implies that basketball is boring for them!!!

While NBA Live 07 will not play like a simulation title in the vein of NBA 2K, it will have a more realistic feel this time around. While not knocking on NBA 2K, the NBA Live team informed us that they feel 2K can get boring since it's so simulation-based.

^^for anyone that hasn't seen it, that's the quote in question.

looking back at it now, it seems i did misinterpret it on the first read-through. i'll admit that. however, them saying 2k gets boring because it is simulation based does not seem, to me, like a good thing. i much prefer the gameplay of 2k6 to live 06. in fact, i haven't touched live this year.

however, since the only thing i've heard from 2k7 is that steve nash will now flick his hair behind his ears...i guess we'll have to wait and see.

unlikely. i had enough trouble finding one for the original xbox a couple of months ago. i ended up giving up. i doubt there's a 360 one this early in the piece.
