2007 ASW IDEAS Thread!!!!!!!!!

How do you want the All-star Weekend for this yeas game? What music? What type of intro?

I personally want this:

- When selecting the All-Star Weekend in the GAME MODE Menu, it shows the main strip (the main street in Vegas with all the casinos and hotels) and from one end of the street, it basically zooms in the the other end, as if you were traveling from one end to the other, and at the other end of the street, is the arena that the players will play in.

- For the music, I want the Elvis song, I forgot what the name is but it goes somehtign like, "A little less conversation, a little more action." I want that song with the intro (above). I also want these song somewhere in the ASW (and some in the NBA finals): New Radicals - You've got the Music in you, Nelly feat Jermaine Dupri, Paul Pall & St. Lunatics - Grillz

- For the ASW MODE SELECTION (Dunk Cont./ASG/Shooting Stars/So on...) I would want a banner or the logo (Vegas ASW) at the top of the screen which would be animated with the lights around it flashing.

I wouldn't mind having some intro like how they have in the real All-Star game. but i'm sure that would be hard to put in the game. Or maybe put a practice mode with your all-star team to develop some type of chemistry!! Have some kind of pre-game show

I would love that... pre game shows and everything. This would probably be the last NBA Live for PS2, XBOX, GC and current-gen PCs, so I think EA should put everything ( I mean put A LOT of thought) into this game, and make it the best they could do.

Very interesting thought, I like anything that adds to the realism and experience of the game. It would definitley make you feel like you're there. You could even have like the starting five introductions come in on platforms and stuff like they do in real life at the ASG.

Also, another redone "techno" type Evlis song is Rubberneckin', you might like that.

The song you were talking about for Evlis was "A Little Less Conversation" It might have remix added in there as well.

Rubberneckin' w/ the remix thing would be awsome, especially the intro to the ASG, like before the game starts... I don't know, but I kinda like this song.

I think EA should do a video presented by ESPN. For example, the ESPN people show like a few clips of the season or the finals with the NEW RADICALS song or more of a comercial type of video, like what ABC did this year and last year with te Black Eye Peas song.

Intros and presentation are important, but my preferred improvements for All-Star Weekend, at least for now, are all small things.

- Slider adjustments for exhibition ASW mode
- Toggle time limit on/off in dunk contest along with other rules (unlimited replacements, more competitors)
- Ability to participate in events in Dynasty Mode even if you don't have a player selected (or at least watch/view results)
- Boxscores for the Rookie/Sophomore and All-Star games

but i thought it would be cool for in dynasty that whoever wins the dunk contest they should go to there arena the following year like in real life

Andrew and Platinum, good suggestions.. apart from the presentations andstuff, I would alos like 8 dunk contestants, and the ability to change or take away the clock inthe dunk contest.

Apart from those things, I would like to see smarter AI. I mean if I press the ally-oop button and the player recieving the ball istoo far from the basket, he will jump up and bring the ball down and go from there...

Actually, I'd like that as well. More lighthearted commentary that acknowledges it's an exhibition and for the most part the best in the NBA putting on a show for the fans, less analysis and focus on mistakes, missed shots and such and more observations of the players in general and calling the action/commenting on spectacular plays.

Yay!! , if none player of your team its in the contest , can whatch like the crowd....

Also , more flashy dunks , and alley oops , some crazy asists , and with more frecuency.

Show the replays in the big TV's

Use the money ball in the contests

Hollywood stars in the crowd

Better graphics ( i mean , there is no shinny effect in this year slam dunk competiton )

Jump Over temmates .

--- and off the backboard pass ( also in a normal game )

Can play with:

Slam Dunk contest stars ( MJ , Dee Brown , Spud Webb , Kemp , Harold Miner , and another )

3pt contest starts ( Bird , and another )

i still dont think they have rights to MJ, you could already do the dunk contest and 3 pt shootout with most of the players you listed though.

I want to be able to run full court in the Dunk Contest. Also, I want something like a speed meter. The speed meter would be used for the full court run, ex: You need to reach a certain speed to dunk from a certain distance.

This is a possiblity, but the right analog stick could be used for dunk moves like wind-mill, through the legs... just like in NBA Street V3, but mroe realistic.

Well... at least for the players with actual controllers, for keyboard, I guess they should keep it the same as last year.

It will be cool to make some kind of dunk editor to select your dunks with props etc. if your player gets selected for the dunk contest.
I don't know if you already noticed but the jury doesn't give marks that rate your player's leap distance... what do you say about that ??
