Acquiring Draft Picks

Postby darkchu on Mon Jun 26, 2006 8:32 am

In dynasty mode... when is it the best time to acquire draft picks? I always make deals and most of the teams tells me that they aren't interested in trading picks..so i wanted to know is when should i offer them

thanks

I think the 1st overall draft pick can only be acquired if u send ur best player!

im doin a dynasty and whenever i go to trade anytime in the season my draft picks hav no interest but all the other teams hav full interest. Shouldn't teams on the bottom attract more interest than teams on the top. does this happen to any1 else

yea i know i made some moves like dealing Marbury along with james for williams, smith and childress. Then i dealted smith and some dude earning 9 mil on the knicks to the suns for nash and a 2nd rounder.. so it's now at - 27 mil =)

Ahh that makes sense perfect sense but then how is it that no1 has interested during a weak draft in my players but alot of interesting in a strong draft? shouldn't it be the other way around?

The easiest way is to use DBf editor to edit up the ratings of a player in position you want to trade, then edit down the team you want the pick froms player (ie have a great center and their's becomes crap) they'll be more than happy to trade to get him. Once it's done re edit the changes and laugh at the other teams expense. It takes time but becomes heaps of fun when you have a ton of first round draft picks by sign free agents and then trading them for picks.
Randy - 'Did you know Earl that before we was humans we was monkeys?'
Earl - 'Hmmm, What were we before we were monkeys?'
Randy - 'I don't know...I don't even remember being a monkey'

I once traded Webber to Toronto - for - 1st rnd and M.Bonner to clear cap space in December. Toronto went on to kick ass!

But good scouting, a high lottery pick for myself and large cap room meant 3 awesome picks and Andre Iguodala traded for Dwight Howard to fill the PF spot :D
