Video Creation-Slowing it down

Postby breems on Sat Jul 01, 2006 7:27 am

I am making a little video and i was watching some of them you guys made and i noticed the speed of the video is slower. What i do is go to instant reply and replay what i just did while recording it with fraps. BUT, the video it creates has way too fast gameplay and you can barely tell what they are doing. Any movie editors out there that slow down speed?

P.S. I tried windows movie maker video effect "Slow Down-Half" but it was too choppy

If your using a gamepad just use the r1 button to slow it down while you are recording with fraps.

..not sure, try using a graphics-video program that allows you to change the frame rate

Its possible to change the frame-rate with virrtualdub, but that might do the same thing as windows movie maker and make it look choppy. hammertime23 has the best solution, hold R1 while recording, the video fraps makes will be in slow motion. Then you can speed it up to look normal in virtualdub, but that will desync the audio if you recorded it. Nobody really needs the audio from Live, its just foot squeaks and player grunts and swishes and rim sounds. Just put music to it and its fine. Good luck and happy editing.

i dont see a difference while holding my R1(Turbo button). Is this supposed to make the replay slower while recording or just while doing the replay?

..k,
goto the pause menu. then goto instant replay. now dont press play or whatever, leave it still, and hold the turbo button. now its supposed to be slow motion...just dont press play.
