So far i've got all 1st 2nd round picks on their correct teams, i'll be having real salaries and hopefully if I have time correct naming in the DBF file for easy cyberface insertion.

Can you change the salaries by using the dbf editor? Also you have everyone that was drafted in the roster? And did you make the cyberfaces yourself?

I use a NBA Toolkit, but yeah you can change them in the DBF i believe, EVERYONE that was drafted is on the roster, I will be updating as we find out who is coming over to play this year and who isn't but as of right now everyone who was drafted in the 2003 draft is on their correct team. I'm not including cyberfaces but i'll have guys that have been patched with their correct DBF naming so you can just download a cyberface update and have them look correct. For people who probably won't get patched i'm making them look as close to a picture of them as possible.

Edit: I forgot to mention i've got a pretty good salary file that helps the free agency problem, it's not a fix all but its not bad

well thats because they dont have their own cyberfaces and stuff....like lets say u created bron bron, and change his playerpkg to lejames, it wont
work cause the game didnt have his cyberface, thats why u come with the "blackheads"

I fixed all that it was just a mistake I made it had nothing to do with renaming the player packages, anyways heres a update on what I'm doing

Players under contract for next season are on all the correct teams

All rookies are on their correct teams (I will edit this as we find out who is coming over and who isnt but for now they're all on their correct teams)

Free Agents are all on the free agent list, when you start a franchise the salaries and cap will be correct, i've got a salary file that I made myself so the Fas will be signed by teams that actually have cap in real life and you yourself if you pick the right team will be able to sign fas, I'm still fine tuning this because you can sign anyone for the minimum for 1 year but when you try and sign long term it's pretty accurate in terms of salaries. What i'm looking to do is to maybe make the minimum a little higher so you can't just sign everyone for 300,000 either way though you'll play one season and they'll want their real value anyways.

Realistic Ratings, i haven't tweaked this one but i'm getting fairly accurate results with the ratings I've given players. I hope to have this one out within the week. Some players will play up to their overall ratings below it or above it depending on the player, their overall rating is more for trading purposes and rankings.

are u going to edit the ratings of the free agents too? in comparison to their age? ie tim hardaway being way below his best, since at the start of 'franchise' teams always sign these players start into their starting line up

Yeah I plan on giving the Free Agents a good looking over as well so no overrated players will be signed and end up killing you during your season, it's happened to me one too many times as well.

I Don't know we'll see, I just got back from Idaho after a few days so I'll begin work again tomorrow should be done tomorrow and hopefully released Thursday at the latest.

Once again working on the roster, i've finished a few more teams, i'm hoping to get the bulk of the work done tomorrow.

Edit: Thinking about going through and adding a year to each player so everyone isn't a rookie that shouldn't be and things of that nature.

I've got more teams done, i'm done through Houston going backwards, so I dont have many teams left. I'm still trying to get new coaches cyberfaces so I can have them in the game already and i'm also trying to figure out a way so I can have the free agents from this year already free agents and have them actually sign with people but not for the minimum, there has to be some thing you can mark which makes them look like they are just regular free agents like after a season. They start out at minimum which makes them available to everyone like they have been released during the season but obviously there is a way to make them not like that and i'm looking for that, if anyone knows how drop me a line. I'm also working on a way for the players not to lose their overall ratings due to the tweaking.

Anyways if anyone has cyberfaces for any of the new coaches except for Floyd because i've got him i'd appreciate them thanks!

Progress is being made, Pierce started outside and was really cold, took it inside once for a layup and then his next 3 ball went in. A little more steal action then I would like but that was more on my part of passing the ball when I shouldn't have. This was on 8 minute all star. Those 4 free throw attempts were all by Antoine Walker 61% last year from the line. I'm going through the teams playing with everyone against everyone, so i'll play as Atlanta against CPU Boston, and now i'll be Boston vs CPU Atlanta to see what needs edited and what needs not.
