Postby jonnyboy261 on Sun Jun 04, 2006 8:28 pm

who in your opinion is the best pg lockdown defender in NBA live ?
or in the NBA?
im talking about someone who doesnt allow steve nash to do anything
and doesnt let dribble penetration on a consistent basis.

sorry if this has been discussed before or is in the wrong section.

In the game, I would have to go with Billups, and in real life, Jason Kidd.

A good defender usually aren't point guards. Most good defenders are either shooting guards orsmall forwards(outside D). So like Moop said, Billups is a good choice.

pretty much whoever has the best steal rating, OR any outside stopper if you hold down the FSS trigger and press block most times it puts a hand in their face and if they're an O. Stopper they usually make them miss the jump shot.

i found for me the best is iverson, he is the quickest, and got nice steal rating, but marbury is also a good choice.
by the way, in my dynasty dallas got gerald wallace and turned him into a defensive beast, he always get me on defense, he got a nice outside defense and as soon as i get to the paint he blockes me.

ron artest doesnt guard point guards usually...

pretty much whoever has the best steal rating

players with high steal rating usually mean that in real life they gamble alot,
which isnt that great defense if you miss...

i think the game should make its defense more like real life by adding another defensive rating or make defensive awareness more important...

i never knew that o. stoppers FSS block actually did anything.

So whos defense is better in real life: Marbury or Iverson?

I've always done pretty well with TJ Ford. He's a bit short to contest shots, but noone gets past him.

the best foward on the game as far as defense is Bruce Bowen. best guard: Jason Terry. everytime i play with Dallas i get at least 6 steals with him.
