Nice stuff, realistic that you are losing soo much, but when you think about it Knicks have a great rating in Live, im pretty sure when I played them in my dynasty they had a higher rating than me and im Detroit

thx all, and Mark., I think it has something to do with the fact that I edite the roster, only Andrews as a base and I really made the Knicks weaker, Crawford isn´t that good in rating and the other players aint that good also !

Well as I see the chances are poor, so I don't really think it's worth to fight for the playoffs spot. Better give some time to bench players and hope to get a pick in the draft... :?

Knicks snatch up loosing streak, roll over Cats!

New York wins 106-112 since 1st February week

ImageImageImage

NEW YORK, March 7 (Ticker)---
The Knicks made it finally, maybe against the weakest team of the league at the moment.
The Bobcats weren´t able to tie one time after the first quarter as the Knicks played very good basketball.

Jamal Crawford opened the game with a jumper after the Cats didn´t hit their first shot. Hitting shots, a problem the Bobcats have this season all the time.
Although Brevin Knight and Kareem Rush kept them in the game with 4 points each in the first, the Cats had problems with the zone defense of the Knicks.
Channing Frye scored 4 points, Steve Francis added same numbers, but the Knicks trailed by 3. But when Quentin Richardson drove through the lane, he got fouled, made the shot but injured his neck as he was hit by the elbow of Raymond Felton. Steve Francis made the and 1 to tie the game at 23.

In the second the Knicks came out firing what they only could.
Stephon Marbury went hot, scored 8 points and dished out 5 assists in only 7 minutes. When Marbury went to the bench to rest, the Knicks led by 10 points. The Bobcats could´t make their shots, Emeka Okafor, doubled most of the time, got into foul trouble with his 3rd.
Jamal Crawford added 6 points, Nate Robinson and Maurice Taylor, brought into the game by Larry Brown, 4 each.
The Knicks had the biggest lead of the season, 49-63.

The Bobcats did better in the 3rd, but still struggled as they couldn´t stop the boards. They gave up 20 off. boards in the game, giving the Knicks many 2nd chances. Eddy Curry and Channing Frye used this chances to combine for 10 points in the 3rd. Brevin Knight had 8 points and Raymond Felton showed his 6th man qualities as he scored 6 points with some crazy drives.
But Knicks still led 72-89, an amazing effort by every player.

"It´s cool to win a game in that way, but we still have to learn things, we shouldn´t hype this too much., Jamal Crawford said.

In the 4th the Knicks gave playing time to their reserve.
Keith Van Horn used his chance. He scored 8 of his 14 points in the 4th including 2 heavily contested threes.

"He is definitely playing for a new contract, and I like what I´m seeing", GM Hov said.

Qyntel Woods added 6 points, while the Cats started to wake up, but way too late. Kareem Rush scored 10 points, Gerald Wallace added 8, but Bobcats loose it, 106-112.

The Knicks showed their balanced offense, with 6 players in double digits.
Channing Frye was the player of the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Stephon Marbury had 19 points and 7 assists.
Jamal Crawford added 18, Keith Van Horn 14 and Eddy Curry 12.
Steve Francis scored 11 points and posted the Dunk Of The Night, The Play Of The Game was a sick putback by Frye.

For Charlotte, Brevin Knight scored a team high 21, Kareem Rush added 21, Wallace 14 and Felton 12. Melvin Ely had 10 off the bench,
Emeka Okafor was well defended and scored only 7 points.

It seems unreachable, but I dont wanna give up, cuz its no fun if I stop playing seriously (at least for me).

The eight-seeded Buck are at 11-13 at the moment, I am at 7-14 ... so will be very hard !

New York Knicks (7-14) vs Atlanta Hawks (9-16)

March the 21st, from Phillips Arena, Atlanta

Knicks get knocked out and loose last realistic chance for the playoffs !

The AtlantaHawks playvery well and beat Knicks. 96-108.

ImageImageImage

ATLANTA, March 21 (Ticker)---
The New York Knicks lost their very important road game vs the Hawks and see themselves without any chances left for making the postseason.

A game that was tightly contested for three quarters, the Hawks played a sick 4th to overcome a 5 point deficit. Al Harrington played big in the 4th scoring 8 of his season high 32 points and also grabbing 6 of his 14 boards. Joe Johnson added a key three and Tyronne Lue did the same to robb the last will of the Knicks.

The first quarter was really balanced. Jamal Crawford shot well scoring 5 of his 21 points. Tryonne Lue dished out 5 of his 12 assists finding Al Harrington in the post.
The Hawks led by 3, 21-24.

Both teams did a very good job offensively in the 2nd combining for 60 points. Salim Stoudamire had a very solid game off the bench, he scored 6 of his 12. For the Knicks Eddy Curry stepped up with 8 points, Steve Francis added 6.
The Knicks trailed by 5, 50-55.

But in the 3rd, usually their weak quarter the Knicks players contributed big. Jamal Crawford hit 2 threes, Quentin Richardson added 1 and Marbury did same. The Hawks lost their rhythm completetly. Joe Johnson kept them in the game with 6 points, but it wasn´t enough, Knicks led by 5, 80-75.

But the Hawks made it with those big plays by Joe Johnson and Tyronne Lue. But also a huge factor was the very hard injury of Steve Francis, which shocked the Knicks.

"It looks like an achilles tendon, he will be out for at least 10 weeks, hard for Steve, he was about to get back to his old shape ..", Larry Brown said.
The Knicks lost 96-108, although they shot very well from three point range. They were outrebounded 29-39 and had 18 turnovers.
The Hawks shot a very good .55% from the field and dished out 20 assists.

The Player Of The Game was Al Harrington with 32 points and 14 rebounds. Joe Johnson added 14, Tyronne Lue 16 and Josh Smith 12, with one Dunk Of The Night. The Play Of The Game was a crunsh jam by Al Harrington.

For The Knicks Jamal Crawford had 21 and Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry 16 each. Channing Frye added 14, Quentin Richardson 10.

The next game will be in Toronto vs the Raptors.

Well, another loss, post season unreachable, francis injured, pretty fu**ed up now. Qyntel Woods will start to show what he can, he plays for a new contract. I plan to make recaps of my games shorter, but bringt you more around the league, say me what you think about it !

Good idea for making recaps shorter and bringing some around the league stuff. I always try to read all the recap, but sometimes i miss time and don't read, esp if it long :)
Well sucks about another loss and Francis injury.
I see Woods will start for you now, use him well, he did pretty well in my Dynasty wih Dallas.

Battle of the West

March, 23rd

ImageSan Antonio Spurs (13-8) 91
ImageHouston Rockets (17-8) 86

ImageImageImage

HOUSTON, March 23 (Ticker)---
The only 5th-seeded Spurs defeat the best team of the league. The Spurs did a good job on defending, keeping Yao 10 points under his season average.
Manu Ginobili had 30 and Tim Duncan added 20 and 11 boards to counter Tracy McGrady´s 25 points and 14 rebounds. Jon Barry had 22 points playing the 2-guard as a starter. The Spurs are on a 4 win streak, although their playmaker Tony Parker missed the last 2 months with a serious knee injury. He had his comeback and played 42 minutes but wasn´t too efficient. After a strong first quarter the Rockets lost their rhythm and never got back the lead. Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen did their best on defense against Yao and "T-Mac", both had 3 steals and 2 blocks.

"That´s a tough loss, we just weren´t able to get those shots we usually take, but we will stick together and win the next, home advantage is so important for us", Tracy said, who shot 9-14, but the others only combined for .355%.

No postseason basketball in Washington

ImageLos Angeles Clippers (15-7)119
ImageWashington Wizards (10-17)105

ImageImageImage

WASHINGTON, March 23rd (Ticker)---
The Washington Wizards gave up their last chance of reaching the playoffs with a loss against the league´s 2nd seeded L.A. Clippers.
But it was more of a battle of two forwards, who prooved that they can step up big.
Corey Maggette and Antawn Jamison. Maggette, a 6-year experienced swingman, who ranks 4th in the league in scoring (27.7) poured in 45 on a 17-25 shooting, setting a new career high.
Jamison, a 6-9 power and small forward scored 44 and added 17 rebounds on a 16-30 shooting.
But it is not all about one player, and the Clippers showed that. Sam Cassell added 21 points, Vladimir Radmanovic 16 and Elton Brand 10, but he was heavily guarded by Brendan Haywood. The Clippers had very strong 28 assists, did great teamwork and were able to keep with the very strong rebounders of the Wizards. Washington is now out of the race and the Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the league.

Bad luck with Atlanta and nice recaps (Y) ! And with the play-offs out of the question you need to concentrate on your future moves...who will you pick and who will you need in order to improve your starting 5 and bench

P.S. Damn is hard to look and don't play :? :(

I really liked the style of the Clipps-Wizs game with a hard duell between those both. And yes houston is doin good, and I think they have future, Luther Head aint that bad ... Yao and T-Mac are young, although I dunno exactly about Yao´s contract.

Jing wrote:woo nice job with the recaps

thx, Im gonna make the recaps of my games like these, short and not that many pics, but at least more recaps with the other teams included.

Mark. wrote:Whoa big numbers in that Washsington game, pity they missed out on the playoffs

Oh yeah, I didnt really understand why they missed, but when you look at their bench ... its only scoring about 10 points per game .......

double_g wrote:Bad luck with Atlanta and nice recaps Thumbs Up ! And with the play-offs out of the question you need to concentrate on your future moves...who will you pick and who will you need in order to improve your starting 5 and bench Wink

Yeah I will start including the rookies after march ... I think I ll do it by myself although there will be a bat pretty soon ... I havent exactly gone through my mind till now...... I think I just need a Small Forward who is big and can score, Van Horn type but better in ratings ...
And I hope you get your dynasty running very soon !
