E3 2006: EA Sports Lab Interview @ IGN

IGN have done a little Q&A with the VP/GM of EA Tiburon, Steve Chiang. They talk about the PS3, the new technologies and the future of sport games. He doesn't reveal a whole lot though, but offers some insight.

Here's a new artical on EA/ESPN intergration from IGN.

What we hadn't seen before is the new integration to be featured in NBA Live 07. ESPN Radio plays in the background, you have the ticker at the bottom of the screen, and you also have 40 of the top sports stories of the day, similar to what you'd find on ESPN.com. Click on the story to read all about the Spurs victory, complete with a picture from the game, then go into the your game and see if you can lead the Spurs to a title of your own.

Thats their big next gen feature? Taking Maddens dynasty from 2005?! Man. I understand that madden is always ahead of live, but this is supposed to be next gen live and they continue to go backwards.

I think it'd be cool to add a SportsCenter show for each night and show highlights, injuries, etc. just like they did with NFL 2K5. I really don't think this will happen but hey, I can dream a dream, right?

Why they producers always Asians?! Good article and can't wait to see how ESPN will be implemented. 2K series had done a really great job with ESPN.

Since EA Tiburon has made so much progress on Madden that they have run out of new features to add into the game, they should switch with EA Canada.
oh imagine the Tiburon team on NBA Live...
