I'd be happy if the PC version was like last year's Live 06 on the Xbox 360 =)
That's enough :X

I'm hoping for realistic movement with the ball and not everyone shooting the same type of shots, for example have shaq shooting his jump hook please make is right.

The players still dribble like they have a pole up their arse, and the transition between different animations is still choppy.

The player faces do look extremely impressive, but how often are we going to even witness that specific detail during gameplay?

I realise it's early. Hopefully they work on these things.

Well, considering T-mac and wade look nothing like they do in real life...thanks for the improved animations EA. It has always bothered me how players have slid and turn in 45 degree angles while running. Lets just hope that gameplay gets this kind of innovation. They should have more memory on the ps3 to program realistic AI.

Pretty impressive with the animations there, I'm really thinking about getting a PS3 too now.
Since I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything this might be stupid question, but how much will the PS3 approximately cost? Games will be around $50-60 I reckon.

I read that it'll be $500 for the 20GB hard drive and $600 for the 60GB hard drive. Somebody posted that here.

EDIT: From Wikipedia.

$499 (20GB hard drive)
$599 (60GB hard drive)

The facial expressions look nice but the chewing is horse-like, it'll be good if they went back to the Live 2004 portraits, they were great.

Yea, i was the somebody.

Highly unlikely that a ps3 game will cost 50 bucks or less. So far the graphics dont look any better than xbox360...but i reckon they will have a better and/or more extensive library of games.

I watched that first video Andrew linked to and I dont like the game that much. Fcial expressions are ok(even though the players dont have a likeness to the real person) and there isnt much sliding. The game still looks more on the arcade side of the world which is what I dont like.

I'll go check out Gmespot's coverage now.

Mother of God, nevermind. I don't need to play NBA Live 07, I'll reserve that cash towards a car. Nevermind. :(

Wow, I like the PlayStation 3 and all, but $500!? I'll stick to computer gaming. Downloading the video right now, I'll let you know what I think after it's finished downloading.

I wonder if what the demonstation really means. Does it mean that the PS3 is technically capable of doing what the PS2 cannot? i.e the so called procedural awareness, and footwork etc. Would it then mean it's a hardware limitation, not a software programming issue?

Because the "ps2" version they show, could very well be the "old coding", i.e NBA live 06.

If it's a memory issue like what Yohance suggested, then wouldn't the PC be capable of such stuff too? I hope they include most of the technology, AI etc. in the newer console versions in the PC version too. The graphical effects can be turned off or disabled if it doesn't meet the requirements.

oh well, we just have to wait.

Hopefully they'll work some more on the faces. Did you see the Tiger Woods thing? That was just scary.

The video at gamespot doesnt look too bad.

I wont be getting a PS3 solely for this game though. There are plenty of awesome games coming out on the system which I am exciterd about.

They must've modelled the cyberfaces on Oliver Miller or something.
