Shooting sliders - does player height matter

Postby Silky Johnson on Mon Apr 24, 2006 1:59 pm

I've got all my shoting sliders - inside, medium, outside - for both CPU and plaer, set to 42 to give more realistic shooting. This works well, except that I have some shorter players who should be good shooters and are really poor.

For example, I have a created guard, 5'10", with 85 for FG and 75 for 3PT, yet he shoots really poorly. Even open jumpers.

Could this poor shooting have something to do with his size, because I never have the same problem with bigger guys. Guys like Ray Allen, Melo, LeBron still manage to shoot well.

When the computer sims a game this guy gets like 30 ppg, so I know the computer thinks he's capable.

Help me out here.

Thanks

Maybe you just dont have the hang of shooting with a smaller person. Try releasing the shoot button earlier.

I realized in previous live versions when i was experimenting with extreme player heights (11' guys or 3' midgets - is it still possible?) that it's quite hard to hit since the ball's flying curve is quite strange. So that might be the problem. But there's not really anything you can do about that.
