Other scores in season mode

Postby Virenque on Sun Apr 09, 2006 3:49 am

I play season mode and quarter length is set to 4 mins. The games I play have always scores of at least 50, while other games have up to 35, maybe 40. Loosing teams have even only 25. Is there anything that can be done in settings to get bigger scores of other games? It`s not a big problem but statistics are way from realistic.

1) Play realistic 11 or 12 min quarters
2) Make your Level Superstar
3) Fix up the sliders

Is super star the hardest or the second one :?: Because now I play starter and will try harder after this season.

I spent a lot of time setting sliders and I think they`re realistic now.

I hate reducing game speed. I have it on 50 now and it`s not realistic..too slow.

try to run set plays, use the shot clock instead of shooting when the clock is on 20 or 15, and force the defense to take its time.

Well first make the game time 12 minutes a quarter. Then you gotta set up your sliders to make it both hard for you and your opponent to play defense and offense. Try out a couple of variations and one would start to work for you. Then dont rush the shot clock take some shots with 5 or 7 seconds left in the shot clock. Also set plays (i.e Pick And Roll and Isolation). You can also change plays in dynasty mode. You can have up to four. Another way is to play on superstar, if thats to hard then play on all-star. Anything lower than that diffaculty is pretty easy and you'll almost always beat them by 20-30 points(unless your a newbie to live game). Lasty....for pete sacks play on Dynasty Mode (Y)

Hope that helps :D

To increase the scores of simulated games, just increase the sim quarter length, since that's independent of the gameplay quarter length you can set.

It's an option in Season/Dynasty Mode setup. It should be there under Settings -> Season Options.

One of the options is for quarter length during gameplay, the other one controls simulated quarter length. ;)

I thought so to when i started playing, but i started getting +300 points 3 games straight. But now i have the game speed at 43 or 45 and I'm playing 12 min quarters puting 110-120 points both my team and CPU team.

P.S. Just mess with the sliders, or go to the slider discussion and see Hieks or Playmaker's sliders those are the best. Personally i put all percents (shot percentage, dunk/layup percentage) at 35, and the overall FG % is +.600!

I just changed sim quarter length from 4 to 7 mins and sim games scores are similar to the games I play. I still play on 4 min. I don`t know how can you play on 12 mins. Maybe a game, but not a whole season :!:

300+ points? i've never done that, the most i've gotten is like 280 and 273 were from Korver off 77 threes and i was playing the easiest setting on 12 min. quarters and trying on purpose to score only with korver... lol

It's not always easy and it is time consuming, but I always aim to play a complete season with 12 minutes. Then it's down to simming, sometimes with intervention since that was implemented last year.

I only once finished a 29 game season on 12 minutes.

But a 82 game season on 12 min quarter is just to much, I doubt any one really wants to play that much. Usually people sim half or 2/3 of the season and play or intervene the other games.

Well as I said, I do try to get through an 82 game season without simming and have done it a few times. But if you want to play multiple seasons with 82 games and 12 minute quarters, you've got no choice but to sim.

with live 06 this year i played a season with all teams on 10minQs. well i got to late january. then the 360 came out seducing me into getting live for it as i thought it would have the same great gameplay with awesome graphics and game enhancements minus all the features i never really used anyway. so i sell my xbox to get the 360 then realise that live 06 is awful in the gameplay department as a single player experience. now i am forced to get 2k6 this year but it still hasnt come out here in australia yet!!!! ridiculous.
every year 2kgames come out 5-6 months later. live comes out around 2weeks later than the U.S date.

NBA 2K6 has been released in Australia, I've seen it in plenty of stores around Newcastle for the last few weeks and Jae's had it for about a week or so as well.
