Could this jersey be tried? (security smurf)

Postby Silas on Tue Apr 04, 2006 3:10 pm

I tried to make this jersey earlier for nba live 06 and it didnt quite work out. You can read all about my trial and errors in the patching issues sections.

Well, i got the jersey preview done as well as the jersey template, and i was wondering if somebody could do the rest so i could just enter in the dbf code?

Anyway, i'd much appreciate any help i could get if somebody'd be interested in making this jersey

The main color is white, then baby/sky blue, then black. It'd be neat if someone made an away jersey of blue and then a black jersey for the alternate. If they could be made as classic jerseys for the charlotte bobcats i'd appreciate it.

Anyway, here are some pictures and a logo to get you started.

Again thanks in advanced and i only hope somebody is willing to take on this task.

do you mean the white base i started with?

the only things i created were the logo and lines on the jersey, everything else came from bassman58's tutorial on this site.

I mean post this as a 512x512 image. I'll do it, as a classic Charlotte jersey; what numbers and letters (name) do you want me to use? Pick any existing ones if you can.

you can call it the charlotte 2006 security smurf jersey, or since you dont have to type a date into the year column in dbf, just call it smurf or SS

but if you have to use a year, 06

and the image had to be resized if you pm me your aim or msn or email i can send you the 512x512 jersey
though the quality is very poor as it is an 05 template and i didnt make things as even or fancy as i'd hoped to.

Upload it there, and make sure you don't have 'resize image' checked off. What I meant about the numbers was what do the numbers look like? Can you pick an existing jersey from any team that has similar numbers?

the numbers should just fit with the team colors

standard black or light blue is fine
i picked denvers for the jersey preview but the numbers overlap the logo

i think you may have to redo the texture as the logo is too big for it, but i'll reload it...

Image

you'll have to resave it from jpg to bmp as the bmp file was to big for photobucket, anyway, there it is.

Here's three different choices. A) would have a small number under the logo, B) would not have front numbers at all, and C) (my favourite) would have numbers inside the wordmarks. Which one will it be? I also found the perfect numbers, the International All-Star home ones are the same blue outlined in black. :)

Nice job man! I have a recommendation, on the first one, maybe drop it a bit lower and have small numbers up top?

well since the security smurfs are a real basketball team that i created with some friends (we played in a county league), there are jerseys for the smurfs in real life, though all they are is the logo i made printed out and ironed onto a white t-shirt, and the logo is a bit smaller, so option A is the most realistic, and i choose option 1, but i do love all three versions and i dont know how to thank you enough for making them, but it'd be neat to maybe have like option 2 be their blue away jersey and option 3 be the black alternate....

Anyway man, thank you so much i really appreciate it.

Nah man, don't worry about it. Do you want a small number on the front, or none at all?

Dont worry about a number on the front, only on the back is fine.

Cool. I'll finish it tomorrow. :)

If you want to make jerseys, and you have Photoshop, you should download this. It's what I use, and you probably could have made this jersey yourself using that template because it's simple, all you had was straight lines for trim.

i made the previews in my 1st post myself, my problem was getting the right numbers and getting the game to not crash and stuff.

Again thanks so much for all your help.

I could make some black alternate and blue away previews maybe sometime... anyway

thanks so much

Here are some ideas for an alternate and away jersey, i think option 2 is actually a better choice than option 1, and maybe the alternate could be option 3, anyway, if you've already started on the 1st one for the jersey dont worry about it, but if you can still change it i'd prefer the 2nd choice.
